From the time that I ordered this til the time of review, it appears the listing has changed. I'm reviewing a waterproof mattress protector, not a mattress pillow top. Seems like there's some shenanigans going on with the reviews. Our mattress is a giant 24" thick monster. It's notoriously difficult to find any kind of fitted item that will encompass it's bulk. This mattress protector does the job with room to spare. I didn't even feel like I was having to pull it to its limits. The top is a soft "quilted" pattern and underneath is a plastic liner that sounds louder when you put it on than when you get in bed. I ordered the White-25 Queen size mattress cover, which I would describe as a slightly creamy white. It’s very well made of a soft material with a netted finish that is sewn all over in a roughly 1/2” diamond pattern. It has an elasticized net skirt (also soft and pliable) that fits around the entire mattress. The netted skirt was deep enough to fit easily over both my mattress and the 3” topper — about an 11”-12” total depth. It stayed in place as I used the adjustable base on my bed — no bunching or shifting. When I fitted it to the mattress, there was a slight crinkling sound but that noise is not evident when you are laying on it. I poured a small amount of water on it which beaded up making it easy to blot off with a towel; the area felt dry to the touch within about 3-5 minutes of blotting and it was not wet in the underside. This is a lovely mattress pad protector. It does have a thin TPU coding underneath that will probably fail after another year, but the price makes it very reasonable to replace when that time comes to the padding on top is soft and quilted; it does a good job, and it has a very deep wraparound so that if you have a large mattress, it will work just fine and if you have a shorter flatter mattress, it will also work fine you'll have to tuck more underneath, and this is great for beds for kids for pets that might wet your bed things like that overall, this is a pretty good product now the only thing that's confusing to me that it comes in colors with numbers behind them. There's no explanation of all of the colors or styles as they all seem the same and the other thing I would recommend is if you're buying it, make sure you use a skinny blade to open the box as a thick blade will probably cut right into it because it is not protected in the. ... show more

New mattress so we need a new mattress pad, right? Well, I went with this and I must say it fits well (Tuft and Needles mattress) AND it is noiseless. I am a bit disappointed that it is so thin. I did not test for it being waterproof/water resistant. I'm sure it is reasonably so. Not certain yet whether I will look for a thicker pad and use this in a guest room. This mattress pad fits my temperpedic mattress perfectly. It was easy to put on. I poured a glass of water on it and the water beaded up. The mattress underneath stayed bone dry. The mattress pad looks and feels comfortable. I’m very happy with this product.

Installation of the mattress cover was easy and it fits snug with deep pockets. I like that it’s waterproof, but not stiff or noisy. I’ve included a picture of the underside showing the quality of the waterproofing. It also doesn’t move or slide on my mattress topper. The fabric is very soft and it’s machine washable.
