I window shopped for about a year before deciding on Nectar Premier Hybrid in Queen. I'm insomniac and often wake up couple times a night. I also have some lower back pain. Since I switched to this mattress, my sleep quality increased and pain has decreased. I can sleep though most of the night. Overall comfort is very good. I might have preferred firmer feel but this is perfect too. It does handle physical activity very well too. Will keep actively check how this handles. Now the summer is here and will come back to update this review how it handled the heat transfer and cooling.

I heard many great things about nectar. A friend of mine that recently had back surgery raved about his nectar matrrss. I purchased this King size copper hybrid premier and rec'vd the bed in Oct 2025. I suffer from neck, back and hip pain. Initially the bed was fine, not great. I figure the bed had yet to fully expand. After the 4th day of sleeping on it, I experience terrible hip pain. I tried sleeping on my side, using a bed pillow, putting a solid board underneath the mattress on the bed frame to ensure a stable foundation. Ive had this bed for 3 months and it just sags in my hip area or were there is more weight when laying on the bed. Im 5'2" and 125lbs and its made my pain so much worse. Wanted to share my experience because returning a bed is such a production :(

I did some research for best mattress for side sleepers, this bed showed up in 4 or 5 different reviews. Keep in mind I didn't do a deep dive to see if Nectar was paying for a good review or not, but whatever. Mattress came in big honking box, glad I checked the Amazon Setup Service (free when I bought it) because this queen size bed weighs 100 pounds and I live in an apartment. After 20 minutes of trying to get the outer plastic unraveled for the mattress (amazon dudes), we slapped the bed in the middle of the room, they took the packaging, and all was good. My bed frame was coming in 2 days after mattress delivery, so the mattress had time to breath, foam could raise a bit and I was not sleeping yet in apartment. Fast forward to having the mattress on the bed with sheets and my first night of sleep on the mattress. SLEEP was FANTASTIC, no issues with my shoulder or arm as a side sleeper like on my last foam block of concrete I had. So I am used to having rigid stiff edge to mattress. I saw Nectar on their web site quoted this - -----> 8” Infinity innerspring coils with extra edge support <------- So in the middle of the night I need a bathroom break, swung my legs like I had been doing for years on previous mattress with my butt on the edge of the bed, and the EDGE JUST COMPLETELY COLLAPSES and I almost do a face plant on the floor and wall. It is going to take some MAJOR adjustments when getting out of bed to keep my butt off the edge of the mattress. Same with putting on shoes, no sitting on the edge of mattress to put on shoes, because there is no edge on this bed. I bought it for side sleeping, and it works great. I just wish I knew that the edge collapsed when you sit on it, but maybe someone did review it here on Amazon and say this and I just missed it. Hopefully in the next 90-120 days, I will re-wire my brain to not sit on the edge of the bed.

*5 month update* I really love this mattress. I meant to update the review sooner. Minimal to no back pain and sleeping better than I had before. *2 week update* I've been sleeping on the mattress over 2 weeks now. I am happily surprised to say the more I sleep on it, the more I like it. I have a pars fracture at my L5 which leaves me with back pain quite often. This mattress has allowed me a better sleep than my previous which was a serta sleeper pillow top. *update* Removed the waterproof mattress cover I had on the mattress and did not have issues with overheating and night sweats. This was great advice from a friend that I hadn't thought of. I've always used a waterproof mattress cover but the advice was it might be preventing the 'cooling' benefits. Waited 72 hours to use... Overheated from mattress which led to night sweats while AC set to 65 degrees. I'm so disappointed with the hybrid mattress. Sitting on the mattress feels like you sink in which made me worry it wouldn't provide enough support but once you lay down and weight is distributed, it's better.

Pretty good mattress! Came in a box and fully expanded pretty quick….hoping it doesn’t lose its shape like the traditional store mattress did…they wouldn’t even reimburse us or give us credit towards a new one when it lost its shape under the warranty! And I’m 120lbs so it wasn’t due to weight.

I really wanted to like this mattress, but, unfortunately, it is not a medium-firm mattress as stated in the description; it is a soft mattress. Maybe it would work for just one person sleeping in the bed, but it is way too soft for two people sharing the mattress. My husband and I both have back issues, and this mattress just made them worse. I am returning this mattress. I will purchase my next mattress from a physical store so I can try it out first and not just rely on the Amazon description.

I ended up returning this product because it was too soft for my wife and I. We both felt like we were sinking in instead of being on a bed. I weigh about 280 and my wife is about 190 so maybe that played into it a little bit. Other than the squishiness we felt, it seemed like a solid product that was consistent all around.
