These hinges were exactly what I needed for a double fence gate. They appear to be well made heavy duty hinges. They were delivered as promised. However the screws provided seem far too small for any heavy duty application. The gates I was installing were very heavy. I didn't trust the screws to hold up in this application. Bought 8 for two 80x32 in doors and 4 more for another door. Threw the screws away and got 1/4x 3 inch lag screws to install into jam and then 1/4 x 1 for the actually doors to increase working load and haven’t had a problem yet

Great door hinges for my 44-year old outdoor shed. Replaced the old hinges that were letting the door (70 inch by 80 inch) sag. The 1-inch included mounting screws might work on some jobs but not on a door of this size and weight. Instead I bought a box of 50 2-1/2 inch RSS Structural screws which went through the hinges, door surround material and the shed's 2x4 studs. Great fastening combination. The hinges squeaked quite a bit after the install. The next day I oiled up the hinges and the squeaking went away. Overall I am very pleased with how this job has turned out! 5-Stars. ... show more

These are good quality - hinges swivel well, finish is good. Only reason for 4 stars is I believe the screws are short, especially if one side is going into a 4x4 post. I can understand shorter screws going into the picket and 2x4, but 2 or 2-1/2" screws are required in the post IMO.....Regards!
