My Weber propane grill is still going strong, but the sideburner died after 15 years. I like having an outdoor burner so I can do my frying or other heavy-duty burner action (i.e., boiling crab) outside. I looked at several different independent burners. The first one I got was WAY too big (25 lbs) to be practical and probably designed for industrial use! This one is PERFECT and neatly fits underneath my Weber for easy storage. I've tested it in windy conditions and it holds its flame quite well. The range for flame is very good, from reasonably low to very high. Ideal for frying or boiling, but might be a little hot for low-heat purposes like fried eggs. Still, I would say this is the perfect burner for home use, tailgates or camping.

This burner is an important part of my home brewing process. I have purchased two of these now and they both work really well. Prices for similar items can be as much as double this one so it does provide plenty of value I think. I am happy to stick with this brand.

Looks like it will do the job. I haven't cooked anything with it yet, but did burn it some to test out the adjustmemts. Flame level is very adjustable and air flow is adjustable. I would suspect if the flame is yellow, that the air flow is not up high enough.

Ive used this thing for a lot of stuff but never cooked a single thing on it so if you want this review for that sorry can't help you there. Ive used this burner from everything from melting lead to casting aluminum statues and heating up steel recovers to blue them. Ive had to to 50 pounds of lead in on this thing and haven't bent the frame or any of the legs so far. The burner burns hot and I have no doubt you could boil a giant 5 gallon pot of water on this in a few minutes. I use a cast iron pot filled with solid lead and ita a liquid in about 10 minutes for about 35 degrees that it is outside rigjt now. This thing gets hot enough to melt aluminum in a cast iron pot with the valve open all the way. If anyone is looking for aomething for recycling materials like lead and tin this is the way to go and I have no dount it will deep fry a turkey or cook giant pots of lobsters or clams. If you look in my one picture the thing got a steel reciver litteraly bright yellow hot in the center of the flame so ita capable of doing a lot of things it probably iant designed to do. All in all for the price I paid it comes with the valve and everything you need and the coating it has on it is very durable. The center supporta in the flame have gotten bright orange and they havnt lost their coating yet. All and all this is a very sturdy well built burner and if it can have 50 pounds of lead from a solid block that's at 35 degrees to molten liquid in 10 minutes it will cook anything you want pretty darn quick.

I bought a "used" one on Amazon but I think it was simply rejected by the buyer or perhaps returned by the shipper. The packaging is rather minimal causing the legs to poke out the bottom of the box and had patches taped over the holes. But there was no damage what so ever. I use for brewing beer where high heat is needed yet at the same time, must be controllable. In both regards it works great. Very stable with 5 gallons of brew setting on it. Maybe some day the hose will need to be replaced or the regulator...Maybe.... But the burner itself I think would last a lifetime with only minimal care. Very pleased with this purchase.
