This is an amazing metal detector. You do have to be extremely close (meaning like almost touching the clothing on a person while wanding them for weapons before entering an establishment), but this is a good thing when looking for weapons on a person. This has been a great enhancement to our security team, and would have gotten 5 stars all around, but they are very expensive. I think this one is a good deal, as they go for up to $250 on Amazon- but at $165 it is still expensive! ... show more

Very durable and accurate. This uses a 9V batter in the compartment near the handle. We use it at our door to inspect for weapons. So far it has been able to minimize the amount of items customers have tried to sneak in.
