My favorite purchase this year. This set up included : 1. The Garrett AT PRO Metal detector .... SUPREME detector. Had a crummy used and very old detector that I bought used to make sure I wanted to get in to the sport. I did a ton of research and landed on this one. I can tell you that you will not likely be able to find a better machine at this price. I have found LOADS of coins in places folks had told me were already detected. I believe that is because of the precision and quality of the 8.5x11 DD coil combined with the brains at Garrett!~ 2. A Hat - Love the hat of course! 3. Garrett Pinpointer Pro ( MUST HAVE THIS IF YOU DETECT ALOT ) Waterproof even! 4. A Garrett shovel --- This little thing is STURDY as they come. It made me wonder why ALL garden shovel sized shovels are not made like this...It is a little tank. 5. A back pack that I gave to my son :( Sorry I have no idea how this is working out for him but it was a nice pack 6. A waste bag and belt, This is oddly one of the most important items in the lot as it is where you store your finds and trash. The inside zipper pocket allows me to keep separate my finds and in a secure zipped area. The belt could be bigger for us fat guys but I made do. :) In all, this setup includes everything a budding detectorist will need to get rolling, not to mention a great new setup for an old timer even! Ordered this for my husband for Christmas. When it arrived the Pro Pointer was not included. Left feedback for seller and they made it right! They sent the Pro Pointer and my husband was thrilled to have the completed kit. Garrett products are going to be a lot of fun to use and spend time outside. We own some family farm land that it will be interesting to explore with this, too. ... show more

Easy to put together. Easy to understand instructions. Easy to use. Have tried it out in my yard and today went out to the lake and used it in 4 ft of water. Didn’t find my ring yet but found another smaller silver one.

My husband is very happy with this. It came with everything listed, but the box it came in appeared to not have some things. I was disappointed for him ,but after he opened it, the items were in there. So, all is great! The Garrett AT Pro is a top of the line metal detector. The first time out with it I found a Walking Liberty half dollar.Two weeks later, I found a 10k gold ring with diamonds and sapphires. This hobby ROCKS!!!!!

Everything I expected. There is a lot to learn and in my thinking that's a good thing. It is capable of a lot of things so learning and experience is the key.

    • Missing parts: bolt, washers, and wing nut to attach the search coil to the stem.
Very disappointing to purchase a nearly $1,000 device and have it arrive missing pieces. Will update when and if Garrett sends the missing parts. **Update 5/25** Garrett sending missing parts. Increased rating to 4
