  • Best clipper ever.
Style: 7.5-Volt Shrub Shear w/pole
Love this little clipper. At 75, weed trimming and getting on the ground is now more comfortable. This requires a little more time, but well worth it. It is light weight and easy to use. The charge lasts a long time, cuts easily and makes easy work for me. It would be nice if the wheels were four inches instead of two. I solved that with a $2.50 set of wheels found on Amazon, a long bolt, lock nuts, and a little hollow stem over the bolt to stabilize. I had all of these, but wouldn’t be much at a hardware store. If you can’t do this and have a locally owned hardware store they would be happy to help you. If a little lady can do it so can you. Would recommend ... show more

  • Helps with keeping the garden nice & neat.
Style: 7.5-Volt Shrub Shear w/pole
I have a hand held trimmer but it’s necessary to bend over to use it ir b on my knees. This long trimmer can b used standing up. Only problem is I tend to bend a little when using it so I get a backache after a while. So I alternate between using the stand up one & handheld one & bend over or do it on my knees. Nothing is perfect. ... show more

  • Why do they put such crappy wheels on this tool?
Style: 7.5-Volt Shrub Shear w/pole
I have two good things to say and one terrible thing to say. The wheels are the worst. They are so small that you can't roll the tool over grassy ground. They fall off. Regularly. They are on a joke of a shaft which tries to keep them on by friction. I replaced the wheels with 4" wheels I got at the thrift shop. That made a huge difference. I put them on with collars, washers and nuts. They are high enough that the tool now stands erect on its own and rolls over grass. But - the cutter blade is the only one I have seen that is well designed. The knives actually cut, unlike the two other similar hand tools I own. And the weight is so low that I can use it by lifting it and cutting off the ground. I don't destroy my back by kneeling. And even though I initially thought 7.5 volts was just for a toy, I was wrong. The battery lasts well and I can use it for quite a long time. With the new wheels, it has become my go-to tool for attacking the newly growing knots of grass weeds as they continue to pop up in my garden (no lawn). It reacts well when the cutter blade is stopped with a hard twig or a wire. To free the blades, I needed to remove the cutter which meant that I had to remove the tool from its clip-on holder. I hate to do this often because the clip-on just holds the tool with thin plastic edges which seem like they won't last through many removals. So with the wheel replacement, and only with the wheel replacement, the tool is mostly useful. One point - the cutter is doomed to wear out. Why can't they sell a replacement cutter? Instead, all of these manufacturers of these kinds of tools want you to buy a whole new unit if the cutter blades break or can no longer be sharpened. ... show more

  • Little Tiny Miracle Worker
Style: 7.5-Volt Shrub Shear w/pole
Before I get into how amazing the tool actually is, first, I was super intimidated by this after I bought it. I probably had it for two years before using it. Last year when I thought I was ready, I opened the box and I was missing a wheel, (and there’s a chance it’s my fault because it had been sitting around for a year, and maybe I lost it), but I called Scott’s, and they sent me a replacement for free, even though I let them know if might’ve been my own fault. No questions asked, super awesome customer service! I charged it in the past, I turned it on, so I knew how it worked. I followed instructions and attached it to the pole, and then I let it sit. Today I just decided to use it. I didn’t even recharge it. I used it to trim the grass from under my fence along my entire fenceline inside of my yard and outside of my yard and the battery lasted the entire time. My yard isn’t huge, but that’s still a long time for such a small tool. After I did along the fence line, I decided maybe I would try to get rid of the weeds growing in the cracks of my sidewalk, and it also did that incredibly! I got several spots done before the battery finally did die, or maybe it overheated, but I was probably using it continuously for over an hour. ... show more

  • Great Grass Shear!
Style: 7.5-Volt Shrub Shear w/pole
This is my third summer using this cutter and it’s great! I had a fence installed and purchased to use along the fence line. By the time I get to the fence line the grass is pretty long and the trimmer runs right through it! After the first cut of the summer I just do maintenance with the extender. I have yet to replace the blades, and I can’t believe how long the charge lasts! Definitely worth the cost! ... show more
