I love this machine. I will say that I had to watch some youtube videos to understand the ranges...the only negative thing is that it says it will find gold but in fact it will find gold jewelry not gold in the ground. Of you want to find gold you need to spend more money and get the AT Pro gold...but again I love this machine it has been a blast looking for treasure. I have been metal detecting off and on for over 40 Years. I’ve owned multiple detectors including pro-line models. I bought this to use at the gulf beaches at the vaca/retirement home so i didn’thave to Keep transporting my others every trip. This new model with the new frequency does perfect on these beaches. It has immensely reduce mineralization false alerts so much that when it alerts. I don’t get mineralization alerts until I get to the waterline, then I just turn around and head back up. Sue to this accuracy, I always know I'm finding a real item at the depth it says. I found a dime at about 10” and an airplane rivit at over 8”. This 11” DD search coil is spot on with faster swings, acurate pinpointing and item identification. I have found so many coins with this in way less time than my Pro level Detector. It’s shipping was quick and on time. I recommend this for any treasure and coin hunter. Garrett, you’ve got a winner in this model, it’s a beast on the gulf beaches! ... show more

My husband was so excited to go detecting. He thoroughly enjoyed himself, however it started to act up in the field. He turned it off and came home. He turned it back on at home and it screeched non-stop like it was detecting 100% solid metal no matter what we pointed it at. We checked all the settings and restarted it compeltely a few times. No luck, we're so disappointed. I'm rating low while we sort this out. I really want to give a much higher rating. Please help! ... show more

Great product great price however it’s missing it’s Velcro strap at the arm. I want the missing velcro strap replaced!. I’d give it a five star but it’s missing a piece. After 4 months, NOW GIVING SELLER 2 STARS! Notified seller and Amazon of missing part!! Without the velcro strap i cannot hold the machine. After 4 MONTHS I STILL HAVE NOT GOTTON A REPLY FROM SELLER OR AMAZON!! Very Disappointed with lack of response from Seller! Amazon usually responds quickly. Praying this gets resolved ASAP! If you want to get into metal detecting DO NOT BUY A CHEAP MACHINE. You will be disappointed and quit the hobby. This machine is great, it’s accurate and will help you identify targets worth digging and eliminate trash. Great seller and came quickly with good packaging.

I have never had a metal detector before so this is a new experience for me. I live in the country so I went out into the pasture to practice with it and learn to use it correctly. It found all sorts of things, a piece of wire, a twist tie, two pieces of foil, and a broken hose sprayer. (I was practicing after all!). I came in and told my wife what I found. I did not think knee-slapping laughter was an appropriate response. The detector worked great and I am sure I will get more accustomed to it's functions as I use it more.
