Product Care Instructions: 1. Plant gladiolus bulbs in the spring after the ground has thawed and there is no longer danger of frost. 2. Choose a location with well-drained soil that receives full sun. Loosen soil prior to planting. 3. Dig a hole in loosened soil 6" deep. Place the bulb in the hole with the roots/tubers down and any sprouts facing up. Space each bulb 12” apart. 4. Cover with soil and water well so that the soil above the bulbs settles. Keep soil moist during periods of dry weather but do not overwater.

  • Beautiful but wrong color.
Style: Bag of 30
The plants are strong and healthy and beautiful. One of the gladiolus plants is now 59 inches tall. It's a freak of nature. All the gladiolus are all beginning to bloom now. HOWEVER as you can see from the photo the company did not send purple...they are maroon...which of course I didn't know until they started blooming. The bag they came in were labeled "purple" so it's a quality control issue. I am happy though because they are beautiful but sheez. ... show more

  • Infested with thrips--all died
Style: Bag of 30
Update: they all grew but were badly infested with thrips. I bought 60 bulbs altogether (orange and purple--but the only 2 that half-bloomed were red?) and only 2 bloomed but the blooms never fully opened up. A few others tried to bloom but didn't. This was my first year growing bulbs, so I don't know if the bulbs were bad or what but all of my other bulbs (tulips, daffodils, hyacinths, lillies, etc) were fine. Now I'm scared the thrips will infect my other bulbs. And this is a memorial garden for my cat so it's very important to me. Bulbs appeared healthy and many are starting to come up. Will update when they hopefully bloom. ... show more
