We bought this a few weeks ago for our grandson, his old chair collapsed when one of the wheels broke off, this new ones has a double wheel arrangement on each leg which I think will be more durable. The chair was well packed and came with a clear set of instructions, so we were able to assemble it in no time at all, everything was easy to fit together and they even supplied a bag of extra parts. We noted there was a slight indentation in the lumbar cushion from the way it was packed and contacted the seller the same day, the next day we received a response stating that this is normal and that within a few days it would revert back to it's original shape, they said if we were not happy they would send a replacement, however that was not necessary as within a few days, sure enough, it was back to normal. My grandson is very pleased, and said it was much better than his old one which incidentally cost more. He likes the unique feature of the extending foot support enabling him to fully recline in comfort.

It's pretty good. better than my last 100+ chair. Was a little disappointed when the pillow didn't have the elastic strap to put it in the right spot... using a towel instead to bump it up a few inches. The head/neck pillow piece sags so it's always at my back. It does lean back, but the foot rest doesn't extend far enough for my legs to be comfortable. I suppose this is a good chair for a shorter person but not a 6 foot tall person. Going to give 5 stars though because it is pretty good quality and comparatively to the other chairs in the range the only thing it's missing is the elastic pillow strap...which oddly the instructions showed it having...but the images on amazon don't so .. I guess I was expecting it to be close to a chair I had at work a while back for the same price / style.

Chair is comfortable. The problem is that the holes where the wheels are inserted, are very weak. The plastic of that holes is very soft and it opens wider and then the wheels come loose and don't stay put. I'm not sure if it really holds up to 400 lbs. My weight is about 320 pounds. But I had a chair before this one with only 200 lbs. support and it lasted 7 years until the wheels started to break apart. And this one only 1 month and this happened. Not recommended.

Ignore the false statements about instructions being confusing, or hard to assemble. This can be assembled without instructions it's that simple. Everything is sturdy and built very well, even the included tool is nice quality. Totally worth the money, I am 6'6" 300+lbs and this chair is very comfortable and fits me decently. You can't expect perfect and budget friendly at the same time. But this is pretty close.

Way nicer than I expected. I "downgraded" from my old Dowinx chair and this one is almost the same for far cheaper. It's sturdy and comfortable and easy to adjust. My only complaint is that the reclining function is a little unusual and the back needs to be locked manually underneath the chair. It's not a huge issue though, just a learning curve.

***edit*** it’s been quite a minute since ive had this chair now and i have so new things. this chair is not plus size friendly. if you are 300+ up, prepare to drop more money on a new chair within a year. i said in my previous review this chair is NOT wide people friendly. that remains true as one of the arm rest completely broke off, no fixing as an option. the screws become loose with every move (and i made sure they were TIGHT and all and all- this is just a terrible chair. it’s lost its comfort— just feels like sitting on a brick now. the chair also leans to the side (i don’t lean towards any side nor do i use the lay down position anymore i sit straight or lean forward) just find a chair worth investing in. this is not worth it. If you're not looking to read a full novel, here's a short breakdown: PROS: Very padded. Quite comfy even for long hours. Easy to build Definitely can HOLD up to 400lbs Head pillow is so nice. Neck feels less stiff since the start of use CONS: Not for wide hipped people Terrible on carpet Leg rest is not sturdy - feels as though it's hanging by a thread Full paragraph: Okay- where do I start? The padding on this chair for the butt area is comfy. Much better than my last that's for sure. If you are a bigger person- 300 and up, like myself- it may not be for you.. The leg rest is NOT sturdy. It does not feel like it can hold up my legs up for long periods of time. Not much holds it in place either- literally just one tiny screw. I feel as though that will break eventually. The little back pillow actually is a nice addition but it's not connected so it falls often. The head pillow however is connected and is very comfortable. If you are wider in the hip area, prepare to hear this almost like "omg did I break it" sound the first time you sit in it. Yes this is made to hold up to 400lbs but it's not made for wide people in mind. It also does not move as easily. That could be because of my carpet, or because I'm heavy but I do have to get up if I want to scoot in my chair closer. The laying back adjustment capability is what kind of sold me to this chair when I was searching because you're able to lock in any position, however, it doesn't work as well. Again, this could very well be because I am a bigger wider person but there are times where I want to keep it unlocked so that I can lean back and then sit back up whenever I see fit but I'm assuming because my buttocks is so far back on this chair, the moment I lean back, the chair does not recline back up with me. I'm on my weight loss journey so hopefully I get to experience this chair as a smaller person one day but for no, it's okay, just not as plus size friendly as it seems. Take everything I say with a grain of salt as all our bodies are different!

I am giving this a 3 due to the fact if it is made to support 400+ the seat fits snug at 300+ and the arms of the chair will break before anything else. The quality, support, and comfort are great for someone probably 250 or less but I would say if you carry more in the hip area pay attention to the measurements unlike myself. Overall great looking chair! Easy to assemble! I just should have paid more attention.
