    • Efficient and Easy-to-Install Light for Patio and Balcony Illumination

The existing pole-mounted light fixture needs to be replaced due to damaged conduit, which is buried in a concrete slab, making conduit replacement costly and challenging. The replacement light is intended to illuminate a staircase and a two-story balcony where tenants access the staircase from the backyard. The setting of interest is a second-story balcony located in the Northeast, characterized by cold winters and fewer daylight hours. Initially, a 300-lumen warm light was installed, but it proved insufficient during periods of poor weather with little to no sunlight, lasting only a few hours a day. After adjusting the setting to "low light" at 150 lumens and switching to a cool light setting after a full day of sun exposure, the light managed to stay on throughout the entire course of a Northeast night. The overall ratings for the light are as follows: Actual Feel/Build Quality: 4 out of 5 (Withstanding frigid temperatures and rain) Illumination/Brightness: 4 out of 5 (Effectively illuminating the balcony and staircase with 150 lumens in cool white setting, without being overly bright) Installation: 5 out of 5 (Super easy) Value: 3 out of 5 (Relatively expensive) I recommend this light for individuals with a 16x16 patio that receives optimal sun coverage throughout the day, seeking efficient area lighting. Wanted the best solar lamp so sought out the most expensive I could find. It didn’t work and if it did not for long. The company wanted to send out a new head unit for me to install!? I returned it and bought a Lutec 300 LM lamp post which has been amazing.

my neighborhood has gas lights, burning $5 of gas per month, and requiring a tune up each year (mantle replacement). this light is just as bright, same color as the gas lights, operates for free. works even after two cloudy days. super easy to install.
