The media could not be loaded. I have tried out a few of these different astral projectors and wasn't very impressed by any of them... UNTIL NOW! This one is actually really cool and comes with 13 different scenes, and some are better than others in my opinion, but overall very cool. It is very easy to use and comes on an adjustable angle stand that you can put on a table or hang from something if you want to. This thing is built pretty sturdy and has a really nice adjustable angle stand that enables you to get the maximum coverage on your ceiling/wall/room. The lens itself almost seems like it is covering 90° in every direction, but that is just an estimate based on what I was seeing so please take that with a grain of salt. Like I said, I was pretty impressed by this one even after having tried out quite a few others, so I would definitely recommend this, but you should really just check out my video and decide for yourself because I personally was pretty bummed by the dinosaur one. That said, I do demo at least three or four of the different slides in my video so hopefully that will help inform your decision, but as I said I'm pretty impressed by the functionality and various options so I think it would be perfect for young kids in lieu of a night light.

This galaxy projector has some real standout features, especially the Moon and Pillars of Creation slides—they’re incredibly sharp and mesmerizing. The rotating motion and meteor effect add a soothing, planetarium-like touch, and it works well as a relaxing night light or mood enhancer. That said, the rest of the slides are hit or miss—some are blurry and hard to focus, and a few feel oddly out of place. The built-in speaker is serviceable for soft sounds, but nothing more. Still, for the visuals alone—especially those two stunning slides—it’s a solid pick if you know what to expect. A fun, dreamy addition for winding down at night.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I got this for my bedroom and I am very impressed. Very easy to use, and it has a lot of different slide options for your mood. I usually wind down early at the end of the day and lay in bed before I go to bed. I set it up and just chill out in my bedroom and it works perfect for that.

I’ve been using this projector at night to wind down, and it genuinely transforms my bedroom into a peaceful little galaxy. The meteor effect is a nice touch and feels almost like watching a slow-motion shooting star. The films are really clear once you focus them, and switching between the different slides is easy. My favorites so far are the Pillars of Creation and the Moon. It runs super quietly, so I don’t even notice it while I’m falling asleep. I usually set the timer and just let the lights play on the ceiling until I drift off. Way better than falling asleep to the TV. If you like space stuff or just want to add a cozy, dreamy vibe to your room, this projector is definitely worth it.

This galaxy projector has a lot packed into it, stars, planets, RGB lighting, and even a little meteor effect that moves across the ceiling. It’s a compact unit, but it covers a good amount of space, especially in a dark room. The projections are surprisingly clear, and the rotating planet themes give it more of a planetarium feel than the basic star only models. There are 13 different effects you can cycle through, and they’re easy to adjust with the remote. You can tweak the brightness, change colors, set a timer, or turn on just certain elements if you want a more subtle vibe. It works great for winding kids down at night, but it’s also fun just as a mood light for relaxing or even background ambiance while reading or hanging out. It does have built in sound, but the speaker is pretty basic, good enough for lullabies or soft music, but not something you'd rely on for great audio. Still, it’s a nice extra touch, especially if you're using it in a kid’s room. At around $60, it’s definitely more of a feature-rich projector than the super simple ones, and the quality feels solid. Great gift idea or just something to make bedtime a little more magical.

We were so excited to get this night sky projector, but we really have mixed feelings about it. The unit seems reasonably well built for a plastic projector, and it is easy enough to use. It comes with 13 different slides including the Moon, Earth, several different nebulas, the known universe, sea life, and some oddly random stuff like Santa Claus and a T-Rex. It rotates the image to mimic the motion of the Earth, has a shooting star-like feature, and has an auto shut off timer which is nice. The RGB light around the middle is just annoying and we were not able to adjust it. The slides are focused by adjusting a wheel at the top of the projector similar to the adjustment on a pair of binoculars, but with a lot less accuracy. Here’s the real issue. When focused, two of the slides, the Moon, and the Pillars of Creation nebula, are absolutely stunning. I’m talking jaw-dropping, stare at them for hours in awe as they slowly turn about your ceiling, stunning. But they are the only two good slides out of a total of thirteen (!) slides. Ignoring for the moment the weird slides, we were so excited about viewing all of the other images, and we were soooo disappointed when we found every single other image to be of extremely poor, fuzzy, blurry quality that simply could not be brought into focus. It was really upsetting. The two good slides are, perhaps, so beautiful that those two slides alone are worth the price of this machine. If two beautiful observatory-like images are enough for you, you might be okay with this projector. But know what you are getting is just that - a projector with 2 usable slides.
