  • Its a perfect appliance for microwave, frying, baking ana toaster oven too!
Size: 1.6 Cu.Ft Color: Stainless Steel
We bought this because my over the range 10 yr old microwave died. We didn't want another one. My wife kept burning herself because it was too high. So we ditched the Over The Range (OTR) microwave and bought this GALANZ appliance. I knw how to use the microwave oven, the instructions were easy. The fryer was new to me . So I tried a piece of bread in the fryer unit and low and behold it toasted the piece of bread, then I toasted a bagel . It worked too! Then I put a potato in the microwave cook it, pealed it slice it about 1/4 in thick salted it sprayed it with oil and set it in the fryer. Wow, it came out delicious , crispy and soft on the inside. The microwave isn't as strong as my OTR one but I improvised, adapted and over came it. I put a 1 qt frozen container of homemade chicken noodle soup that I had made and froze last week I defrosted it and cooked it in the microwave. I just took a little longer than my other microwave. baking was a little different....My first baking was brownies in a 9x9 inch baking pan. It took forever to cook and still the center didn't get done. SO... Since I was using the convection oven I knew it needed to be high enough off the bottom for the heat to circulate around the pan. SO... I made 2 lb meatloaf and used the 9x9 inch pan again. This time I took out the microwave plate, turned off the microwave turntable to lock, put something under the pan at each corner about 2 inches off the bottom of the unit ..low an behold it cook y beautiful heavy delicious meatloaf perfectly in about an hour and 15 min. I also cooked a 12 inch frozen thin crust. pizza in it on bake at 425Degreese for 12 min. It was perfect!, All it takes is you adapt to this appliance and it will do what ever you want. For my small kitchen it's a little big, but I still have room to work on my counters. One time I has a warning that it was overheating. Duh, It was too close to the wall. I unplugged it plugged it back in and moved it 2 more inches out from the wall. No problems after that. You really need to pay attention to the regulations of where to set this appliance up. It's important to make it work right. We have only had it for 10 days, but I keep trying new thing to cook . I haven't used my big oven , toaster oven and of course microwave of witch I don't have any more, since then.,, The only flaw is they need to send a metal , maybe 6x6 inch upside down basket to put your baking pan on so the convection oven will do its job. I went on Amazon and ordered a 4 pack of different size steel organizers and turned them upside down for the heights in the oven They really work great. I hope this review will help you in choosing your appliance. For me and mine it works perfect. ... show more

  • Buyer beware Do not buy I repeat do not buy
Size: 1.6 Cu.Ft Color: Stainless Steel
This is the most horrible appliance that I have ever bought. Doesn't heat your food very well. And only lasted about 6 months before the main board went out. Even if you buy the extended warranty they still will not help you with anything or replace or repair. And refuse to send your money back. Buyer beware ... show more

  • Jack of all Trades well worth the money...
Size: 1.6 Cu.Ft Color: Stainless Steel
This unit does a li'l bit of everything. I got mine a number of months ago and wanted to put it through its paces before doing a review. I AM pleased with my purchase overall. It is a great microwave. A li'l less powerful than the one it replaced, so it took some getting used to when so many things where ending up under heated <LOL> I was a bit disappointed with the convection oven / air fryer aspect of it. It seems it does not properly cook things within the "published" times for air fryer recipes or frozen foods. Several of my frozen snacks such as pretzels take up to 50% longer than the directions call for, and take longer than the toaster oven I gave to my folks years ago. It does the job, but you have to play by ear for time tables. As for ease of use... HOLY *&#@! It has a LOT of functions... push button, push dial, turn dial, push dial again push another button type in your social and your mothers maiden name in hexadecimal <LOL> Fortunately, the manual is EASY to follow. In the video reviews I watched before buying mine, there where comments about starting a fire because they slid the manual and other paperwork in between the heating element and the top of the oven. This was not the case with mine, but there was some blue packing tape on the top of the oven (not touching the element, but it would of melted the first time I used it if I had not checked). Be careful when yours arrives, make sure the interior is cleaned out. It is not a bad idea to properly clean it before use anyway. IF I had LOTS of space in my kitchen and excess money to spend on dedicated units... I would probably still get a dedicated air fryer (or at least see if I could get my hands on one to do side by side comparison.) As a microwave goes, I am happy with this unit. As mentioned above it does a great job, but despite similar power rating, it is not as powerful as my old one. As a convection over, it is small, but does the job. As a toaster over, it might actually be a bit too large. It takes longer than a dedicated toaster over to toast bread (or garlic bread with cheese) It scores 5 stars for for versatility... but as the saying goes. "Jack of all Trades, Master of None". It will do the job, but it may not be the best at everything it does. If you are shopping for an RV, Boat, 18 wheeler, etc., this is a GREAT product... I would strongly recommend, just make sure you have a big enough inverter as it has a stout current draw... For the home, it is a good product... I would still recommend. ... show more

  • Warranty Process has been a nightmare or even non-existent at this point
Size: 1.2 Cu.Ft Color: Stainless Steel
I got my oven delivered, had a broken leg on the air fry tray. Contacted Amazon, option was to replace the unit or contact Galanz for the part. I thought was silly to replace whole unit for a broken part - Unfort I attempted to communicate with Galanz for part with no luck. Oven has worked great and we love it. Over the holidays we began to get ERROR CODE 30. Microwave no longer works. Did online troubleshooting AND called Galanz tech support. They determined its a failure with PC board communication = mfg defect and my oven needs to be replaced. They supplied me with an email address to send images of serial number, error code and my amazon receipt. Been three weeks now - I have gotten no response from Galanz. We've been without our oven since the holidays. I have messaged Amazon looking for any additional advisement, wildly disappointed I have gotten no feedback from either parties. Please if anyone has any other suggestions? Or course of action? I just want a working oven. Thats all. I am willing to replace parts if I have to - anything. My oven is still in full warranty (which is ending VERY soon 21st this month.) I feel awful leaving a one star review because we love this oven and have enjoyed using it past 10 months. Please any advisement, much appreciated. ... show more
