    • Great band set to add to the exercise room arsenal
I've been working out from home for several years as it gives me one less excuse not to workout. lol Over the years, I've amassed all sorts of different types of bands. Too often I find that bands are marketed as a "one-size-fits-all" whether for replacement weights or the ability to work universally for exercises. I use a combo of bands and weights and I even have different bands depending on the exercise. Bottom line: some bands are better equipped for different exercises and these aren't a universal solution for every exercise or a true, complete substitute for weights. They do come with a booklet with different exercises- some more elaborate than others and some requiring two people which sort of defeats some of the purpose/convenience of these. There are three resistance levels but these will only be so strong since they're just not very wide. These work great for pull up assistance (depending how much assistance you need), can be used for stretching, and can be doubled up depending on the movements of the exercise you're doing. Will these work for all the different exercises I do with bands? No, not by a long shot but I still think they're great quality and allow me to do other exercises that I can't do with some of my other bands to include the ones with the handles on the end, the wide fabric ones, etc. ... show more

This is a good set in that you get three bands of different resistances. The light is too light for me, the medium seems just right and I’ll have to work up to the heavy. They’re color coded it seems. I like that they offer suggested exercises but many of them state to use an anchor (see pictures) but they don’t say what some possible anchors could be?? Should I use a fridge? A chair? It’s sort of obvious in that the item will have to weigh more than I do in order to support my weight, but I don’t really have an anchor list in my home (or outside for that matter) to be able to complete the exercises listed. I really wanted this for squats so at least it’s effective for that, but if you’re looking for this to solve a lot of your exercise issues and needs be ready to search for some kind of anchor. One picture also shows a partner helping with the exercises. Yeah, I fly solo in this activity so not a reliable option for me. The bands themselves are sturdy and come packaged in a box, each wrapped with a rubber band. Aside from the exercise suggestions these are a good set and would work for travel or use on the go. ... show more

I have used other Gaiam Yoga products in the past and have been very pleased with the high quality products they offer. My PT doctor recommended I do some scratching with Bands and the thin bands they provided were of minimal use and i needed something stronger and higher quality so I ordered Gaiam Restore 3-Pack resistance training bands from Amazon. The 3-pack includes a light, Medium and heavy band, Single sheet fold out with some basic exercises and a use and care flyer. Box has the GaiamRestore.com web address for a few instructional videos to get you started. They also offer a free trial of their heath and fitness App. The bands are excellent quality and just what i needed. I have used the light & Medium bands and they are perfect for my current needs. These Resistance Bands are perfect for me! They are easy to use; simply step on one side and use them to do arm curls. I can also secure it to a door hinge and use them to do all sorts of different arm and leg strength-training exercises. As we age, we tend to lose muscle mass. Strength-training is VERY important. (So is stretching after each workout. Just a helpful tip!) These bands are made of thick rubber that should last for many years. I'm pleased with these resistance bands. These are really nicely done exercise bands. 1. What you receive?: In this package, you receive three different exercise bands. One is light, another medium and the third is heavy. 2. Use?: These are basic bands, but they work well for resistance which the entire point. I was actually surprised that the heavy band is really tough and provides a lot of resistance. So actually all three give a amount off resistance for a variety of workouts. Even the least resistance is good for stretching. Overall?: Great item. Gaim brand quality.
