  • Sturdy and no distortion
My husband absolutely loves these reading glasses! He likes the fact that they are sturdy and yet have a little flexibility to them. The tricolor combination is nice (black-blue-clear). The best feature by far is that they are distortion-free, as often occurs with plastic lenses more so than glass lenses. Glass lenses also tend to be more expensive because of the manufacturing process that is done by a lab - measuring, grinding, examining, grinding out all distortions, polishing of the lenses, and then the final process of placing the lenses into the frames. Plastic lenses circumvent this process by being injected into a lense mold, cooled, then placed/snapped into frames. The quality control of plastic glasses skip a few steps. And that is because certain processes cannot be controlled. You cannot grind down distortions which occur in plastic lenses because that would scratch the lenses and possibly cause them to shatter (due to sonic vibrations from the grinder). Even though plastic is flexible and glass is not, glass is still stronger than plastic (molecular bond). The shape of the lense is what causes distortion. Concave, convex, the distortions in plastic lenses occur away from the center. With the center of the lens being the focal point, the further the portion of the lens that moves away from the center towards the edge, the more distortion of occurs. However, this does not occur with these reading glasses. The attention given to this particular detail is evident in the lenses - no distortion. Even though these glasses and lenses are plastic, they are quality grade. I was surprised at the price of these reading glasses - I thought they would be considerably more. Great price for good reading glasses. And to find them in a strength of 2.5 - even more rare. ... show more

  • Very nice looking glasses with Excellent Optic Quality!
These are excellent reading type glasses! I really like the manner in which they fit. They are light in weight and very comfortable. The lens quality seems excellent, with no visible distortions or anything. Trying them on, I immediately noticed that the hinges are spring-loaded, a feature that I love, as I believe that they are made a bit stronger and stand up just a bit better with hinged arms. The optic quality seems excellent. I am able to see very well for those moments when I could use a bit of a boost to take some haze out of my reading. These lenses are also helpful in that, along with the reading optics, the company has also thoughtfully included a blue-light blocking technology, which is supposed to aid your eye fatigue as well. In summary, these seem to be excellent glasses. They have excellent optics, spring-loaded hinges, and, are blue-light blocking. They are light in weight and feel good on. What more could one ever ask for in a pair of glasses? I give these my full recommendation! Highly recommended! ... show more

  • Working great, well constructed
The rim and nose pieces are of a single piece with the lenses, just painted, so the lenses can't fall out. That seems to give these a sturdier feel. The blue light blocking is a nice bonus feature, but doesn't detract at all for reading a book instead of a screen. Hinges seem fine and have operated well so far; they haven't loosened after a few weeks of use. Look good (relatively simple and generic, which is what we prefer). Satisfied. Seem like a good value, and we'd buy again. ... show more

  • Stylish Specs for Screen Time
These readers punch way above their $10 weight class. Clean design, sharp lenses, and that subtle blue-light tint all add up to a pair that’s equally at home on a Zoom call or behind a paperback. The spring hinges give a comfy, flexible fit—not too tight, not floppy. Visually, they look more expensive than they are. Functional and flattering—a rare combo. If you're staring at screens or squinting at fine print and want something simple that just works (and looks good doing it), these are a no-brainer. ... show more

  • HUH - I can tell a difference
I am on the computer all day. My work is all computer, and my favorite hobby is on computer. Soooo much tooooo much screen time. As I age (in my mid-sixties) I notice my eyes get more easily fatigued. These definitely help. And it's not the sort of muscular fatique I'm talking about - it's the feeling of being a little blinded when I'm done for the day - like when you've looked at a bright light for too long - but in a really subtle way. I think they actually are doing what they are supposed to do. I had no idea this was a thing. I've been staring at computer screens all day for a living since 1987 CRT days - greent to amber, amber to white... etc... I've long looked elsewhere to re-focus my eyes to give them a focus break, but this blue light thing is new to me, and late night last minute things on the computer don't seem as work-ish ... somehow easier to do just that one thing and close the lid and go right to sleep. ... show more

  • Awesome choice!! 100% comfort fit- great look and solid results..
Surpassed all expectations.. these are great! Far above drugstore quality in comfort and detailed finish!! The sleek look provides stylish clean lines with a professional appeal. Unisex option- but, size and vibe feel more masculine. Fit 63 eye measurement like a custom pair from ophthalmologist.. to help give reference. 1.75 helps with aging eyes and necessary daily reading and computer work! Weight is all but obsolete.. you may even forget you're wearing them! No heavy or forward slide which is so ideal when reading and looking down!! Expandable hinges remove extra pressure at temples.. and protect from accidental hyperextension that normally snap off the arm! Nose pad is part of frame so it stays put. Not having concern with blue light effects- I'm not best to quantify results?! Including it wont skew vision or clarity nor, appear as tinted glass.. so, any benefits had will be an added perk for us. Set of x3 for $10- we received x1 black, silver and subtle blue stripe. See pics of i'm close details and result in use. Hoping this info can help- stay safe everyone. ... show more
