The Gaggia Velasca is a powerful and convenient super-automatic espresso machine. Its low profile and high programmability make it right at home in any kitchen. PANNARELLO STEAM WAND: A Gaggia innovation, the Pannarello style steam wand simplifies the milk frothing process by injecting air directly into your milk to create rich, velvety milk foam perfect for lattes and cappuccinos. To stop adding air while frothing, simple submerge the wand's air intake hole in your milk. The steam wand can also be used to dispense hot water for drinks like cafe Americanos and hot tea. LOW PROFILE: The Velasca is right at home under cabinets with its front loading water reservoir. At under 14 inches tall, minimal clearance is needed to fit it under your cupboards. PROGRAMMABLE: The Gaggia Velasca drink buttons can be programmed with your preferred beverage volume, strength, and temperature. You are also able to choose between using whole bean or pre-ground coffee. CAPACITY: The Velasca has a 54oz removable water reservoir and a 10.5oz bean hopper. The internal dreg bin can hold up to 10 spent pucks of coffee. EASY MAINTENANCE: The machine features a removable brew unit as well as an automatic rinse and descale cycle. LOW-ENERGY STANDBY MODE: After one hour of idle time, the Velasca will enter a low energy (-1 W) standby mode to reduce power consumption.

This was a fathers day gift. These are simply the best super automatic coffee/espresso/cappuccino makers on the market, personally we have had 3 in the past 20 years, influenced friends to get one, my sister, and now my father. Easy to use, makes great coffee and after you use it you won’t care to spend money on Starbucks or other coffee shops over priced coffee. The machine will pay for itself, friends come over for the coffee, not to see me LOL. unfortunately I have the older model so I will need to wait to get the new model with the upgrade. The new model allows you to set the coffee temp up to 180 deg F, old model calibration is 164f, Inlike that option. Also new model is more compact and easier to clean and use. For under $600, unbelievable value. the sellers Customer service at (Whole Lotte Love) is Superb, any questions they are there to help, Even an 81 year Old Father. Have had ours for a year now and love it. It replaced our beloved Saeco machine after 10+ years... RIP Saeco. Yes it is very loud, but they all are. Yes it requires regular maintenance on our part, but they all do. It's not a big deal. Just routine cleaning, lubricating and changing the water filter if you choose to install one, which we did.     • Fast and easy!
My Delonghi Magnifica Esam3300 expired with multiple problems after 5 years replaced it with this and I am so happy right now! I hope I get at least 5 years from this one! Is it perfect? No, but it does the job and I can live with it's limitations. The best features for me is that I can easily punch in double shots, get the milk in the pitcher, steam and serve in a fraction of the time my Delonghi took. ... show more

    • Good machine
Works well except with oily beans. The more oily beans trigger an "out of coffee" condition as they stick together and take longer to drop in and grind. In that case the machine grinds almost a full load, but then disposes of the coffee load without running water through - very wasteful! If you like the oily dark roast (like me!), you can dab them in a paper towel before putting in the hopper. Otherwise, really good coffee, and a great machine. ... show more

    • So much wasted Coffee
I have owned Fully Automatic Espresso machines in the past and never had the problems I have with this machine. After having it a short while and using the same coffee beans I have used on other fully automatic makers, the machine kept telling me it had no grounds even though I watched them be ground, and they would be in the hopper after the cycle. I wound up complaining and being given a number to Gaggia to discuss it. Gaggia sent me a video on how to clean it and proceeded to tell me. You can basically only use one type of coffee with the machine. I was dumbfounded. I should have returned it but thought I would try the recommendations. I cleaned it, which is not simple for doing it for the first time. I also found out it is made cheaply in the process. I bought the 1 coffee they recommended. It worked ok but again started not making coffee shortly after that. The sensors failing and causing it to think there are not grounds happens probably 1 out of 6 times you ask it to brew. We drink a ton coffee, and I can't imagine how much coffee this machine has made me waste. I highly recommend you avoid this machine and try a different brand because this one is the worst. ... show more

The product was perfectly packaged and it arrived safely. I often worry during delivery that the item will arrive broken. In this case all was well. The Velasca is a great machine. It's easy to clean and maintain. The programmable interface is user friendly. Keep in mind that you should use coffee beans that won't clog and damage the grinder. I did extensive research and I also looked to videos from Whole Latte Love for advice. Again, this is a great machine for the price. Salut! ... show more

    • Absolutely the Best Espresso/Cap Machine ever
I loved everything about this machine. It is easy to use, makes super drinks, It cleans itself, no washing baskets every time you make a beverage. It allows you to make one drink after another so you can enjoy a beverage with a friend with no lapse of time. I had ordered the Breville machine because it "looked so great", but it wasn't great at all. It did not heat well, grind well, steam well, and needed continuous cleaning. It was impossible to make consecutive beverages without cleaning the entire machine first, then going on to brew the next beverage. I sent it back and got the Gaggia instead.
