4.5 stars — minus 1/2 star for lack of adjustable lumbar support. After many hours of research I landed on this chair and am satisfied for the price. Overall fairly comfortable chair. My job is fully remote so I've been spending long days sitting in it, and so far not bad. I'm shocked to report that I regularly use the footrest — thought for sure it would be more of a gimmick. I typically sit in odd positions that are horrible for my back (one/both legs up/down, hunched over, etc.), and I've found myself using the footrest to cross my legs and/or lift my legs in a much healthier way. Customer service is fantastic. They mention add-ons in the chair manual (seat cushion, lumbar cushion), which I emailed them to request, and Nova (GABRYLLY support rep) was super friendly and helpful and mailed me both within 2-3 days. Same model number as previously bought chair but slightly different. My original has a narrower seat (still wide enough for my 250lb butt) that can be adjusted (slid) forward & backward to change how far from the backrest it is. This one doesn't have that. It has a HUUUGE seat with 3 "screw in" positions (permanently set how far the seat is from backrest) and a retractable footrest. I like the footrest for lounging but prefer the narrower seat on the other. Still, for the $, this is a GREAT office chair if you don't want to pay $400+!! I originally purchased a similar ergonomic chair from another brand, but it didn't fit my body well, so I returned it and bought this one instead. I'm very glad I made the switch. Here are the things that stood out to me. Comfortable, natural back support Unlike some ergonomic chairs that have very aggressive lumbar support, this chair allows me to sit deeply and comfortably while still providing good lower back support. The mesh back has a gentle curve that supports my back naturally without forcing me into a specific posture. Excellent mesh material The mesh feels much softer than I expected. With my previous chair, wearing shorts became uncomfortable because the mesh felt scratchy against my skin. This chair is noticeably smoother and remains comfortable even during long sessions. Solid and stable construction The chair has a reassuring weight and feels very stable. Nothing feels flimsy. High-quality moving parts The armrests and headrest feel sturdy and stay firmly in place once adjusted. I don't notice any wobbling or looseness, which gives the chair an overall feeling of excellent rigidity. Much easier to assemble Assembly was surprisingly straightforward. There are fewer bolts to install than on my previous chair, and the included T-handle hex wrench is much easier to use than the standard L-shaped wrench that typically comes with furniture. It made the entire assembly process faster and more comfortable. One feature I especially appreciate is the flip-up armrests. If you use a keyboard tray or MIDI keyboard drawer like I do, and your desk has limited clearance underneath, this design makes a huge difference. I can simply flip the armrests up and slide the chair under my desk without any hassle. I also think this chair would work very well for guitar players or anyone who needs their armrests out of the way while playing an instrument. Overall, this chair feels less restrictive than many modern ergonomic chairs that emphasize maintaining one "correct" posture. Instead, it provides support while still allowing me to move and sit naturally. If you've tried highly aggressive ergonomic chairs and found them uncomfortable or too restrictive, I highly recommend giving this one a try. ... show more

Received chair and assembled which takes about an hour or so. Chair seemed OK at first until I went to use the footrest which has a defective mechanism that will at times catch and lock into place if you play with it but you shouldn't have to. And then found out that it can seem like it is locked in place and you are using it and all of a sudden it gives out and flops down. Contacted support through link on purchase, seemed helpful at first, just wanted a replacement footrest which should be EASY but I received a message back with 800# and they want me to call them and possibly take a video like they're going to magically fix it with telekinetic superpowers over the phone. I have a few weeks until the deadline to return the whole chair which is seeming like the easier and better option. I've bought 2 chairs from this company and there won't be a 3rd and the 2nd is likely soon going in a box back to them. Very disappointing purchase. ... show more
