Worked when Chamberlain CHU48 replacement didn't

I bought this after trying the newer chamberlain replacement item, CHU48. The problem may have been with the directions. It turns out, according to the instructions for this device, that the color of the learn button determines the frequency used and the level of encryption. This unit worked correctly immediately, the Chamberlain one I returned to home depot because id did not. After the "learn" process, the light on the opener blinks. With this one entering the programmed PIN opened the door right away. With the real Chamberlain one, the light blinked on the opener, but could NEVER open or close the door. This one is similar in appearance to the old one provided with the opener eight years ago, but has some actually nice differences in operation. Bottom line is it worked.
