The media could not be loaded. So I really like this thing. It's great for light tree trimmings and palm frons and hedge trimmings. It will growl and eat all day long as long as you don't go oversize or let the bin back up. It's effortless. If you do get jammed up open the shoe and reverse the motor. This doesn't always work and you may need to jog it back and forth. It's a pain. For my uses of hedging I don't forsee having a lot of trouble. I did have to send the first one back because the gearbox jammed and even the blades were clear it would not start or reverse. I do think this could use with a lower gear reduction. ... show more

    • Don't Waste Your Money
If you need a chipper/shredder, find another one. The parts - specifically the collection basket - don't fit together well. More importantly, it just doesn't work. Plug it in (using the prescribed type of outdoor power cord) using a GFI outlet, and nothing happens. Completely defective, totally worthless. Hopefully, the seller will pay the return shipping costs. But right now, since everything else about this product is sub-par, I'm not holding my breath. ... show more

The unit is working fine, the bad part of the all the problems which I read on reviews came from very bad instruction comes with unit because it doesn’t say many things you should know about it, the wood chipper works great so far almost a year, couple things you should pay attention, always make sure the handle on the bean is up on the lock position because it’s a safety feature which doesn’t let unit work if it is on unlocked position (down), the key for forward or backwards position, if the key is on backwards position the unit will not work as it should be and only will work when you push the button so again it’s good safety feature, the adjustment screw on the side which you will find out how tight it needs to be when cheeping and if it’s starting to jam the wood most likely in the bean under the blade is full even on the bean is not full and you need to empty it and run backwards to clear the blade, overall very quiet unit and good speed and strong for the price, easy to move around and will definitely suggest to buy it, unbelievable how much time and space you can save with this unit, almost you can fit 4-5 times wood in your green bean and that’s huge amount to be able to finish your job faster and easier, will definitely recommend to have it specially it took little space to store it. ... show more

    • Great for holding open doors!
The media could not be loaded. At first, I was very impressed with the manufacturer's ability to fit this into a 65 pound 22.5"x15.5"x20" box. I wish they had spend some of that research money on making a product that worked or in having people who actually answer the phone or return correspondence in their customer service department. While I will readily admit that the quality of their hold music is exemplary, waiting 5 minutes through it so that you can leave a message for the people who are not bothering with answering the phone gets tedious. This product is great for holding open doors or keeping light items from blowing away in a strong wind. Unfortunately, as a chipper, I am only able to review the 10 minutes that it worked. It did a great job on my dried palm and banana leaves and made a wonderful mulch. Then it seized up and became a doorstop. The motor made a beautifully harmonic humming noise when the button was pressed, but it no longer shredded anything, as the drive shaft was completely seized up. The company may have a simple remedy for this. Unfortunately, after three days of being unable to reach them, I gave up and sent it back. I would advise against purchasing this product for any project that might take more than 5 minutes or need to be repeated. ... show more

    • It does a decent job. Still learning to use it
The media could not be loaded. So it’s a powerful little machine. I’ve clogged it three times in my learning process. I have definitely found out the dryer the limbs the better. It tend to debark if it’s still a little green. The wetness of the green makes it compact. I kept tripping the breaker at first. After the third time, I was getting the hang of it and found out just let it do it’s thing. Don’t rush and bake sure your bucket is locked into place Sometimes it vibrated just enough that it wasn’t locked all the way and it’s a safety switch basically. If not locked it won’t work. I think it will work for my little stuff on the farm. I burn anything that’s big for it anyway. ... show more

    • Could be a great product but customer service...
I posted my first review after receiving the chipper to find it was faulty, instead of 4,100 RPM it was lucky to be doing 60-70 and making enough noise (without cutting anythng) to wake up the dead. Seems as if the shaft is not either centered correctly or not perfectly round and is held under pressure. Trying to contact the company was POOR. See earlier review for the 1st instalment. Continuing my quest to get this resolved I had a number of further phone calls get dumped by their system before I finally got a customer service agent. Asked to speak with supervisor/manager and things took a turn for the better. After a few minutes I was given a full refund (including expedited shipping fee & taxes) and told to bin the shredder. A PITY, as any product suffers from manufacturing rejects from time to time. Assembling it did impress me. The safety side is brilliant. 1. The high gauge heavy duty plastic bin that all shredded material shoots into - leaves not 1/64th of an inch for debris to escape. 2. Unless this large bin is slid into the holding cage (all metal and has the 'engine' bolted to its top) AND a latch slid up - the shredder will not operate as the latch completes the power circuit. So there is no way you can get hit by flying debris, nor can hands get close to the business end of the shredder. Very well thought through. As long as they sort out there customer service phone system then the product (unless you get a lemon) appears great quality. ... show more
