Bought 2 of these to use paintball tanks with homebrew kegging setup. They both leaked. Sharp inner edges on one seems to cut o-ring upon install (even with fresh o-ring). My fix was insert an o-ring into the top of the adapter so when the tank is threaded in it compresses and seals along the top edge of the paintball tank. Also, the pin appears to be too long on one, it bent the valve on my paintball tank when I threaded it in all the way without adding the additional o-ring on top. ... show more

Works as advertised, the threads are loose and leak, just use a couple wraps of Teflon tape and it seals. Adapted a paintball tank to a welder and it worked perfectly.

Thread and diameter was the same and still didnt fit the smaller tank. How is it an adapter when it doesnt adapt. It literally stayed the same size. Its longer I guess, how does that help me?

    • Does not shred o-rings.
Certain other male CGA320 (US welding CO2 connection) to female paintball pin valve adapters, as used for aquarium CO2 systems utilizing paintball CO2 canisters, are not well machined. The burrs and imperfections in the metal on the pin valve side chew up the o ring on the top of the paintball tank, causing the CO2 to leak out over time or rather explosively all at once. Not with this adapter. When screwing a CO2 canister in or out, some cold CO2 gas and maybe even some liquid CO2 are going to be blasted around and will make contact with the o ring, and your o ring will not last much more than three or four times connecting. So if you're buying this product, buy a bag of o rings as well because even when machining is good, CO2 o rings will need replacing anyway. In fact, the paintball arena near me doesn't use any CO2, all compressed air, because of what it does to internals of pneumatic systems; too much maintenance. So anyway, I change the o ring after I get the tank filled, but with this adapter I haven't had my tank emptied over night because the o ring broke going in. ... show more
