This is my first cordless vac, and I have bought to use in my kitchen and family room. One has tiles and other has wooden floor. It works great on such floors. It is very light and is quite to work with. In fact I enjoy using this cordless vac. I am also cleaning my carpeted staircase using hand held with adapter supplied. It cleans well including dog hair. With other vacs the dog hair were difficult to clean but this one does the job. The battery life is decent too. I charge once a day to do my daily routine. Emptying the canister is easy. Even with low setting it cleans well. I wanted something that would be useful in all situations so I decided to give this cordless vacuum cleaner a try. This handheld portable vacuum is great for cleaning in hard to reach places. The lightweight vacuum allows you to easily clean dust and dirt in places that is just out of reach of your traditional corded mammoth of a vacuum cleaner. With this, you can easily lift the vacuum and clean the ceiling or on top of a cabinet or shelf. This awesome little vacuum can also be easily maneuvered around tight corners and into small spaces. The vacuum works just as well on carpeted or hardwood floors. The suction power on the vacuum is pretty good. I can easily pick up the dirt on the floor quite well. When I used it on the carpet, it was able to pick up the carpet with its suction power alone.
