I purchased and installed this Fuzzy-Bird Solar Powered Automatic Coop door yesterday. My first impression of the door was a good one. I really liked how well the door appeared to be constructed and found it very easy to install. I ran the door through the testing as directed in the instruction manual that came with the door, however, last night the door did not close automatically. I found this morning, the door did not open either.. I have gone through the steps to reset the door to the daylight sensor, but it does not appear to be working. Yesterday after dark I held the power button for 5 seconds to reset the door to automatic. The door opened and stayed open for several minutes in full darkness. This morning the door had to be manually opened to let out my chickens even after full daylight. The door is mounted on the south side of the coop as is in full exposure to sun. I am disappointed to say the least. So far the only method to contact the company is email that purports to respond within 24-hours. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I have been raising chickens for 4 years, I’m not saying I’m an expert, but definitely a zealous homestead fan. It’s not my first time owning an automatic chicken coop door, and I can tell this one is really an upgrade. The best thing is it’s solar-powered, and you don’t need to buy an extra solar panel. All I need to do is to install it, and it will open and close automatically. You don’t need to think about changing batteries. And believe me, if your door is battery-powered, you may change batteries each week in winter (I knew because I’ve had two). I really appreciate the automatic chicken coop door for my two more hours of sleeping especially the solar coop door. This door is also very easy to program. When you program it, the notice sound is very clear,, and the confirmation sound causes no confusion. Overall, according to its price and comments, this door is beyond my expectation. I bought this to replace our current chicken door which would close and lock the chickens out whenever we would have a power outage. I like this because it runs on batteries and closes at dusk and opens at daylight automatically. It's sturdy and works great! I tested it on my hand and it closed rather firmly on my hand before raising back up so just hoping none of our chickens get hurt (so far, so good). I'd highly recommend this door. ... show more
