Needed inexpensive, hardy chairs for our school room, but wanted them to look decent since it is an open area seen from most of the ground level. These fit the bill perfectly and with some inexpensive chair covers (link at end of review), look really fun without being obnoxious. They also work great for parties when we need additional seating. Pros: - Hard to damage, easy to clean - Light & easy to move around - Look great for the price - Got 8 and assembly took less than an hour; easy enough for 6-9 year olds to help (had to tighten screws on those units) - Comfortable for adults and kids; there's a little give in the chair so supportive, but not stiff - Easy to clean up spills Cons - I've had to tighten up screws a couple of times because the kids are wiggly and we use them every day and move them around a lot - My kids tip them occasionally because if they shift their weight too much to the side, the chair tips. This is not a significant problem for us because if you are sitting normally, they're totally stable and we're trying to teach the kids to sit still anyway. Stylish but Fundamentally Flawed - Constant Bolt Failures Render Chairs Unsafe and Frustrating I purchased a set of these Furmax dining chairs based on their appealing modern design. While they do initially look nice and fit the mid-century aesthetic, their functionality is severely compromised by a critical and persistent flaw: the bolts connecting the legs to the seat constantly come loose, even after multiple attempts to tighten them securely. This is not a minor inconvenience; it's a significant safety concern. On multiple occasions, while simply sitting normally, I've felt the chair become wobbly as the bolts begin to detach. This instability makes the chairs feel unreliable and potentially dangerous, as there's a constant fear of them collapsing. I have diligently tried to tighten the bolts using the provided Allen wrench, ensuring they are as snug as possible. However, this is clearly not a long-term solution, as they invariably loosen again after a short period of use. This repeated maintenance makes these "pre-assembled" chairs feel like a constant DIY project just to keep them functional enough to sit on. For chairs intended for regular use in a dining, kitchen, or living room setting, this level of instability is unacceptable. The primary purpose of a chair is to provide stable and safe seating, and these Furmax chairs fail to deliver on that fundamental requirement. While the design might be aesthetically pleasing, the poor construction and the recurring issue with loosening bolts make these chairs a significant disappointment and, frankly, a waste of money. I cannot recommend these chairs to anyone looking for reliable and safe seating. The constant need for tightening and the inherent instability far outweigh any visual appeal they might possess. I would strongly advise potential buyers to consider other options where structural integrity is not a persistent concern.

Cute little chairs, but not super good quality. I was surprised at how flimsy the white seat is--it can bend back quite a bit, and I'm a small person. I'm not sure how long they'll hold up. They are the perfect size however, and I love the wood color. They're lightweight enough that they're easy to move around. They're pretty comfortable too, which is nice. I wouldn't buy them again though. Not worth the money.

They are super nice. They are definitely the most affordable dining chairs I've seen. My one complaint is that due to the color it is very easy to get food or dirt stains. When I was assembling it, it immediately picked up dirt from the floor which I was not able to clean up with just rubbing alcohol. But I did remove it with a harsher cleaner and some good scrubbing. The wood comes unstained and unsealed, so you can stain it if you like. It came a week early, which was a pleasant surprise. Very easy to assemble. Although it did not come with instructions it was very straightforward. All you do is screw the legs/base onto the seat with washers and bolts. It comes with a small wrench (and the nuts and bolts) to help you attach the legs to the seat, however I had to also use my crescent wrench since some of the bolts on the legs were kind of loose. I strongly recommend. As for comfort, they are ok. They definitely don't hurt and they aren't awkward to sit in, but the the seats are uncushioned plastic so what can you expect. They remind me of the chairs that they have in schools. They kinda feel like that. I plan on making seat cushions for mine. In conclusion they are very lovely and adorable I strongly recommend.
