The toddler and the babies all want to sit in this chair, so the tears start when someone cannot (time to do the sharing lesson again). The family loves the chair. Even the toddler said five (5) stars. I agree. How received I received this in a very sturdy, plain, semi-retail type cardboard package that measured about 30” x 28” x 8” and which the shipping company noted weighed over (70) pounds What was inside? Inside of course was the chair, perfectly packaged in a clear plastic bag – I estimate the chair weighed in at about 30lbs, plus the ottoman, which was another 5LBS or so. With the chair was the ottoman, its cushion, buried in the underside of the chair. Alongside were the single sheet of instructions, the legs, and a brace. Assembly Assembly literally took minutes. Unpack. Unfold the ottoman, tie the ottoman’s cushion on. Pull the legs and brace out, push them in and attach, use the tie down hooks for stability, adjust the skirting, tie that down and zipper the back closed, flip over, instant chair. Recline? The chair does not recline. Pocket The chair has a pocket for my remote – other items. How I tested I had all sorts of body frames test this chair, from petite to NFL linebacker. It’s stable for all, including those well over 200LBS (max weight is 250LBS. Did the chair wobble? No. Not even when there was no passenger. It’s surprisingly sturdy. Material of manufacture The velvet like cloth fabric is very smooth and the frame and legs are metal. The padding in the seat is comfortable, yet firm. Everything bounces back immediately, no impressions or depressions. All parts seem durable, solid, and of high quality, and I see minimal maintenance and an extended useful life measured in years. Sizing The seating area stands about 18” – 19” from the ground and the opening is about 19” wide and deep. I really did not expect this to be oversized. Therefore, I really did not consider the dimensions when selecting this, as I thought no matter what, this would be a handsome accent type of chair to add to our collection, at the very least, for the children (so Daddy can get back into his oversized recliner). I was not surprised; this accent chair’s seating area is about 10% smaller than an average living room chair and about 20% smaller (narrower) that an oversized accent chair. However, about 30% to 50% cheaper than those comparison pieces. You get what you pay for. I am not deducting any stars, because I expected as much. Big and/or Tall sized users can still fit within, easily, considering the manufacturer pegged the max weight at 250LBS. How Heavy This chair’s weight is on the medium side; and not so heavy that this cannot be moved nor so light that it can tip over. The shipping box referenced 78 pounds, but I do not think this weighed much over (30LBS). Comfort I think the (tufted) design and materials of the chair made this a comfort to sit within. There was no sagging of material, everything bounced back when I got up and all was firm. Every part of this chair was comfortable, in all positions. Country of origin? Made in China Giftable? Would make an interesting gift. No odors There are no odors (other than a light, clean, new furniture smell) and no detected off-gassing. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder; however, I think this accent chair offers universal appeal. Select again? Yes, I would select this again. I hope my thoughts added information. ... show more

This chair has certainly exceeded my expectations! It is much more comfortable than I ever expected. I cant speak to how well it will hold up, it is fairly lightweight. But, as of now, this chair has help up well and really is enjoyable to sit in. I would definitely recommend!

Park yourself by a window with this thing and kick back with a book, your switch, whatever and slowly pass the time. Very comfortable. Easy to assembly, literally just popping a couple bars in place. Ottoman is nice and easily to fold away too. Nice in bedroom and simply. Love that its easy to pull apart if needed to clean. Material and cushions feel soft yet sturdy, bigs and littles both enjoy it. As my good friend Sammy Sosa says, put your cheeks in the seat and have a wonderful relaxing time! ... show more

    • Ok, but not built to last

Although the frame of this is very clever, the fabric is the weakest link. It feels very fragile and as I zipped the back, I could tell the seams are just going to wear out or the fabric will eventually rip. Otherwise, it's comfortable except there should be a thicker pillow for a headrest. It's probably comfortable for someone under 5' but any taller and there's no real headrest. The footrest only folds with the pillow off, which is also sort of pointless. This might work well for a student that only buys furniture for the semester, I doubt it will last much longer than that. ... show more
