I was replacing the original small filter with this one and because this one comes with plugs I didn’t even lose hardly any water. Bought this to upgrade our previous pool pump (sfx1000) and have no regrets. Very easy to install in the pool wall and can be done solo. The pump timer is convenient and consistent everytime. The pump motor is very powerful but very quiet. You can hardly hear it humming while running. The pump filter system is also incredibly easy to clean and maintain the cartridge and skimmer basket. If I could select less stars, I would. We hooked up the pump all was going well, until a few hours later then it stopped working. We tried resetting the breaker and still nothing. I tried to do an exchange through the seller, they said it could not be done so I returned the item and purchased another from another vendor. They only refunded me 50% of what I paid saying that the item was used and returned in bad condition. Of course it was used that was the purpose of it, to use it!!! We gave them everything back, I wiped down the item and we even gave them a new filter and not the one they provided to us. Save your self the time and headache, go with another seller. We had the skimmer pump that came with the pool the 330. After hooking the 1500 up and turning it on. The difference is so huge! Finally we have circulating water in our pool and within hours the filter needed to be cleaned because the pump was doing such a better job. Definitely worth it on day one.
