I was very dubious about ordering a +-$900 recliner without having seen and felt it, but my initial observations are that this is an excellent chair, made with great quality and delivered much more quickly than expected. My delivery range was June 13-20 and it has already arrived on June 7, shipped from Georgia. Here are things which may be helpful to others: -Although it is very possible to put together with one person, it’s MUCH easier with two. It looks easy to just slide the arms into the brackets and you’re done but those brackets are at slightly different heights due to the design and it’s not as easy as it looks. That said I was able to do it but not without some trial and error. -Connecting the cables is idiot proof. Each cable can only connect one place, you really can’t screw it up. One small complaint I have is that they didn’t figure out a way to combine the heat/massage unit with the recline controls so you have two different fairly large plugs that have to go into the wall. They really should address this going forward. -I LOVE the fact that the footrest can be raised independently of the backrest. What I hated about my last recliner was that it was an all or nothing proposition. You press the button and the back has to go down to a certain point before the footrest even starts to go up. -Even though I’m a 6’2 man about 230 pounds, I picked this chair (among other reasons) because it is rated for 350 pounds. My assumption was that would protect me to some extent from the seat just breaking down over time. Time will tell, but this is a pretty firm recliner. You’re not going to sink into this chair which is exactly what I was looking for. It’s comfortable but supportive. -Another reason I selected it is because the seat height was higher than many others. By several inches. That may not seem like an issue but it is when you’re over 6 feet. With the chair just in the normal position, I can just stand up. I don’t have to “pull” myself up because I’m sitting inches lower than is comfortable. I realize the chair can help with that exact problem, but as a 60-something I don’t need that help (yet!) -I didn’t buy this chair for the massage or the heat. I’ve yet to sit in any recliner that the massage actually feels like it does anything for you and this one is no exception. It’s fine, no better or worse than any other massage chair, it’s just not important to me which is why I didn’t reflect that in my rating. Also be aware that the heat portion only works for the lumbar region, and that region is a little higher than one would expect. Again, not a deal breaker for me. -If you got the model with the lift up arms for storage and cups (They’re all a little different so when you’re clicking through colors and fabrics etc be sure to look at the specifics for each one. Some don’t have those lift up arms at all) this is a really nice feature. Seems obvious but when you’re reclining it changes your reach to a side table you may have next to your chair. It’s much easier to reach the built in cup holders on either side. -Another main reason I wanted a “big man” chair was for the seat width. It’s 24 inches and I love having that extra room. My dog Penny does as well. Anyway that’s all I have. I’ll update this as time passes if there’s anything to add. Hope this helps.

After an exhaustive search, on the internet and in stores, I decided to go with this chair. It had many positive reviews but I chose this chair for a few other reasons. The first being that I had a medical treatment coming up and wanted a more comfortable place to relax and recoup in at home afterwards. The second reason was because I have grandkids and 2 dogs that insist on sitting with me so I needed an extra wide seat area and a solid foot rest. To top it off, the armrest storage and the heat & massages functions were appealing. I love the size, it’s perfect for both my pups and I, or grandkids and I. The fabric color is good but not sure of it’s durability yet, how well it will hold up to pet paws and grandkids. There are a few of issues with the chair I received. The seat area is lopsided. On one side there is very little support and it’s like there is not enough padding. On that same side of the seat there is what feels like a hard metal piece protruding up, it’s flexible and I can push it down but it just springs right back up. That makes that side of the seat unusable, even for the dog. The massage function is more like a vibration, not massage. The heat is nonexistent, one of treason’s I chose this chair was for its heat function, I’ve had the chair assembled for 3 days but right from day one it sounds rickety when I sit in it or move around while sitting in it, like I’ve had it for 50 years. The footrest is sturdy but could stand to be a bit longer. I’m only 5’6” and my feet hang off the end by several inches when seated upright. When reclined back the length is fine. It would be nice if the foot rest went higher too. The lift function works fine but it’s going to be a long time before I’ll need it. I would have rather had a rocker, or glider, & swivel base. Overall, the style is good, the fabric is good, but the quality could use some improvements. Even with subpar massage and zero heat functions the chair is a good value but because of the issues with seat I will be retuning this chair. Update: Due to the prompt customer service from Funecorp, they were able to find resolution for my issues. I will definitely consider buying from them in the future! I appreciate great customer service and they delivered that. Thank you, Funecorp!

First, this is a really high quality chair. It is well made with quality leather and really looks first class. I did extensive research and this manufacturer reviews set them above the completion. The chair arrived in three boxes that were custom made to protect the chair. Assembly is easy but a two person job. It took my wife and I about 45 minutes on the first chair and maybe 30 minutes on the second. That included unpacking. The controls are smooth and the lift mechanism worked very well. I’m expecting to have these chairs for about ten years or more. As we tend to change remodel every ten years. We are into blue and this is a solid quality blue in the Navy Blue Family. I double checked after almost a month and no other website had a chair I’d pick over this one. Yes it is as pretty as the picture. The controls are well thought out. I was a little concerned that you could damage the front edge of the chair in the fully lifted configuration but the design pulls in the front foot rest so you can’t configure the control to accidentally damage the chair. That was impressive. My wife’s loves how comfortable it is and how well the chairs complement the new sunroom. Pat 5’2” and I’m 6’1’” and the chairs work for both of us.
