I ordered an XXL for a 100lb Great Pyr mix with a very long, fluffy coat. It fits him well in the shoulders and is perhaps a bit too long (but that part is easily addressed due to the velcro/wraps at the bottom of the suit). I ordered a few different suits and this was my favorite. I found it to be a better fit, and easier to use than the others. Added bonus is that he looks adorable in it. Washed it on cold/lightly dried and no issues with colors bleeding, etc. Would recommend.

This is so much better than a cone. Our two year old rescue was spayed and she has used this the entire time. So easy to put on and take off for going the bathroom. She looks and seems so much more comfortable. She can’t get to the sutures at all. Would recommend this to everyone instead of a cone. Also great quality construction. Velcro works great and design is genius.

This is a great little surgical recovery suit that is made well super soft and comfortable. Fits true to size lots of compliments. However, I don’t know how many times I’ve washed this thing in two days because I have a little dog and she happy peas and you can’t get it off in time so really not my first choice. Made but definitely needs access for potty at all times with smaller dogs.

My boy, Worm, is 51 pounds, more on the skinny side, and I bought an XL. He got neutered and had a hernia repair at the same time. So I bought this because it covers his ENTIRE abdomen. It’s easy to put on and take off, the straps are secure. It fits his chest a little weird but that’s just because he’s a Pitbull and his chest is bigger than his entire body lol. I’ve had to wash it multiple times and it hasn’t shrunk at all. The only thing I don’t like about it is the strap holder on the back of the suit. When the straps are put there, the suit sits weird so I just strap it more towards his upper body/ chest and that’s been working great. Overall love this suit and will most likely be ordering more!

SIZE: Maybe it’s just my dog … but the sizing chart didn’t match at all. Her chest is 18 inches (S according to sizing chart). Her back is 24 inches (XL according to sizing chart). She weighs 23 lb (M or L according to sizing chart). I ordered a small, medium, and large. Small fit her narrowness but no way would it stretch enough to actually use. Medium fit well EXPECT that the joining of the front and back tends to settle right around her spaying site - so she could still get at the stitches if she wanted. Large was baggy and required making a loop out of the velcro straps to make it fit somewhat ok. USED: since I ordered multiple, I can confirm what others have said that they received used suits. I got new (perfectly folded with cardboard piece insert) and used (stuffed back into bag, no insert, black and white small dog hairs on the cloth, and smelling of oranges (the cleaner used?)). Not happy I’m paying “new” price for “used.” Quality: the stitching is coming off after 1 wash and little holes are forming (maybe my dog got to it? But it’s on the back panel). Does it work: yes, hence the 3 stars. The Velcro is useful to hold the fabric when taking my dog to use the bathroom. The fabric is soft and thick - protecting her wound. It’s survived multiple washes (barely). I’d say single surgery use (I’ve rotated 3 for 2 weeks and they are about to fall apart).

This is a true recovery suit that does everything it advertises. Super stretchy, cotton fabric is easy to get on your dog, even when drugged out of their happy little brains. It has a soft, jersey cotton layer in the belly area. East to clean, low profile velcro doesn't pick up a lot of hair - super important when you decide to neuter your great pyrenese during shedding season - but does hold very well. It took me a couple days to realize that there is a velcro strip on the inside of the suit as well, so I was having a hard time keeping it rolled up properly for potty breaks, but since figuring that out it hasn't unrolled itself once. Do yourself a favor and order two, especially if you have a teenager in the house that keeps letting the dogs out without uncovering the relevant bits. 110 pound male great pyrenese - size XXL. I was concerned it wouldn't fit neck-to-tail because he's several inches longer than the max length for that size, but it's so stretchy. Doesn't seem to pinch or bind.

My dog just got spayed, and it was a little hard to find a perfect recovery/spay suit for her because she was too small! I got the XS size for her, it fit perfectly! I attached a photo so anyone can kind of see how small XS is. I have a piece of advice for choosing the color - not for the looks, but for the additional safety of your dog! Choose the color that is primarily white (I chose the Red Flower color/style). I say this helps BIG TIME if you are concerned about any bleeding happening, you will be easily able to tell if your dog is bleeding or not because it will stain the white cloth. If you buy a style that has a darker material, then you would not be able to tell right away. I am a paranoid person, so I really appreciate this detail. The spay suit was perfect too! she will not have wear a cone of shame on her head.. she is much more comfortable, and most important of all she won't be able to lick any part of the surgery so it can heal properly. The price is not bad either. I would suggest to buy two suits so you can wash the other if it gets dirty or if your pooch has an "accident". This is because to properly use the suit, it will cover everything. If the dog needs to urinate or do her thing, you would have to take off half the suit (it conveniently has stickers on the back so you can attach it while she goes to the bathroom). Would totally recommend this suit! My dog is well recovered now because of it.
