It’s a good size for an apartment sized kitchen. Not too loud. Looks good. Works well. It’s a good quality microwave. You do have to hit cancel to open the door, but it’s a safety step. Better safe than sorry.

The seal broke on our old microwave so we had to quickly get a new one. This was a good price. It runs just fine and heats the food as normal. The digital numbers are very blurry, not sure why (the photo is how it looks, not a blurred camera image). Good size for average plates, but not too large that it takes up too much space in a small kitchen. The presets are annoying as you have to choose a weight for your food, so we just turn the nob to set our timer, it is easy enough. I should probably give it 3 or 3.5 stars as it is not as advertised. Ad says in 2 places it is 900 watt and I even "asked Rufus" before purchase and it said 900 watt, but we received a 700 watt. Also, the color is no where near as bold and deep red (maroon) like the photo but more of a cherry almost cheap red color. Overall, happy with it and it would have been too much of a hassle to return, so we kept it. Just know of you are buying this, it is 700 watt and not as deep red as the photo. ... show more

Admittedly, this awesome, retro-looking, MCM'ish, swanky-vibe microwave was purchased primarily for its form. The black and gold version works PERFECTLY in our game room/hang-out area wet bar. It IS small (.7 cu ft) so it's built for warming small plates and un-tall beverages. See some of my measurements/pictures that show random objects for visual scale. The good thing about the size is that it is the depth of a standard overhead/wall cabinet- right at 12", so it doesn't awkwardly protrude and allows amply counter space to prep/place/manipulate food and drinks. NOTE: the paper plate is 8-1/2" in diameter and NO- I do NOT microwave my beer (or my water). It's only 700 watts so you're not going to melt cheese in 10 seconds, but it is effective and heats as expected. Other than known and accepted limitations in size, everything feels fairly sturdy and works well. Knobs and buttons don't feel cheap and operation is relatively smooth and quiet. The only thing I would improve is perhaps a bit more door opening. You can see in one of the pictures that at full-open, it's maybe 95 degrees. Since the door swing is not changeable, depending on how you situate the microwave, the somewhat limited opening angle could make it difficult to get things in and out. ... show more
