This countertop ice machine works well, and is very similar to the ones on the market at this price point. I like that this one has real stainless steel that is easy to wipe down and looks nice on the counter. The machine itself requires a lot of cleaning attention or else it builds up mold/mildew/dirt. I like that it makes two different sized cubes. It produces ice very quickly and definitely does the job for me!

A definite upgrade for our ice making. I love that it makes 2 sizes of cubes and is pretty quick. I use filtered well water and the taste is good. It is quieter than our last ice maker too, plus it looks beautiful!

Works very well. It makes ice decently fast and before you know it you have ice for the rest of the week. I'm not sure about how long it will last so I'll have to come back and update the review but for now it's good. I got it at a good price as well. It's not very noisy and can pretty muched be moved anywhere there is power and water.

We have had this for about a month now and absolutely love it. I go thru a lot of ice during the day and it keeps up. We had talked about getting one for a couple of months but never used one before and wasn't sure how well they would operate. Our Air BnB on vacation had one and after using it for 2 weeks, we came to the conclusion that we needed to get one..very very convenient and puts out a lot of ice quick. We use it as our main ice source instead of the fridge ice maker. This would be great for a mini bar or dorm room as well. Even with as much ice as I use, we still only need to fill with water every day and a half. It takes up very little space and can be put just about anywhere there is a plug in. Melting ice drips back into the water tank so there is no loss of water if you don't use the ice and it knows when ice is being taken out and makes more. If ice is not being used, it doesn't keep making ice..it just goes into a 'sleep mode' as I call it, but as soon as you take ice out, it starts making ice again. Its very easy to clean (pretty much same as a coffee maker for hard water deposits) and without a doubt one of the most functional appliances we've purchased.

Where do I even begin to describe the epic ice-making adventure that is the Frigidaire EFIC117-SSBLACK 26 Lbs Portable Compact Maker? I guess I'll start by saying that I must have been living under a rock (or rather, an ice-less rock) before purchasing this masterpiece of a machine. Upon opening the box, I was greeted with the sleek, black, compact design that could only be a creation from the gods of frozen water. I couldn't wait to plug this baby in and start my icy journey. First things first, I filled the reservoir with water and turned it on. The machine hummed to life, like a purring kitten, warming my heart and cooling my beverages simultaneously. To my absolute delight, the first batch of ice was produced in what felt like seconds. No, I am not exaggerating, it was like watching the Flash make ice cubes! The cubes were perfectly symmetrical, glistening like tiny ice gemstones. I immediately put them to the test in my glass of room-temperature cola. The beverage was transformed into an arctic oasis, making me feel as if I was sipping straight from a glacier. This is truly a game-changer. Now, I know what you're thinking, "It's just an ice maker, get a grip!" But trust me, dear reader, this is not just ANY ice maker. With its 26-pound ice-making capacity, this ice maker has become the life of every party I've hosted. I've even given it a nickname: "The Frosty VIP." My friends flock to it like moths to a flame - or rather, penguins to an iceberg. Moreover, this compact maker has ice-making superpowers. This machine works as advertised! Produces ice bullets quickly and efficiently. It doesn't take up much space and pulls its weight by augmenting our ice basket in the freezer. Our just out-of-warranty freezer ice maker doesn't produce ice like it used too and this unit picks up the slack for a great price. A repair to our freezer could run up to $800 or more, so for 89 bucks, it's worth the counter-top space. Highly recommend.

The Frigidaire Portable Compact Ice Maker really does an impressive job when it comes to making ice. It produces a solid amount, up to 26 lbs per day, and the ice comes out quickly and consistently. I love how convenient it is to have fresh ice on hand without waiting for trays to freeze, and the stainless steel look fits nicely with my kitchen appliances. However, the biggest downside is the cleaning. The inside gets slimy faster than I expected, and it’s not easy to reach all the areas that need to be scrubbed. Even with regular upkeep, it’s tricky to keep it fully clean, which takes away from the overall experience. I wish the design made maintenance simpler or included easier access to the parts that need attention. Overall, it’s a great ice maker in terms of performance, but the cleaning difficulties keep it from being a perfect buy. If you don’t mind putting in extra effort to maintain it, the ice quality is excellent.
