First this Frigidaire Bread machine is beautiful! Color is gorgeous. Second I waited 3 years to replace my original 20 year old Hamilton Beach I burnt up. Glad I got this one! The manual is really NOT scary as so many have stated. Yes it's metric but duh. Most measuring cups have ML and cups on them. Not hard to Google. Run it through a full bake session empty to get rid of new machine smell. Have had it 2 days and have made two beautiful loaves. One my Cottage Dill from my own recipe book years old. Today's was a Google Banana Walnut Chocolate Chip. Both highly praised by hubby neighbor and my cats. If your going to get a bread machine I highly recommend getting a good bread machine cook book. Many many recipes out there! Would definitely recommend this super quiet non bouncy reasonably priced machine! Edit to add the pan is great non stick. The loaves slide right out and the paddle is of the same material as pan so not a plastic one like my original. Great value. ... show more

The machine works as intended. Loaves are quiet tall, the 2lb loaf especially. The manual isn't written or proofed by someone who's an expert in English. The biggest challenge I've had with the manual is the word "baking powder". They mean "yeast," not baking powder, on most of the recipes in the manual. ... show more

They give you a little cup to measure your ingredients. You can’t breed them how much they are on the side at least I couldn’t! Everything had to be measured a certain way like if you had an egg it had to be in the cup where the water went and then you add the water. The bread machine works great. It has reliably produced tasty loaves of bread. No complaints there. But the manual. The manual has recipes in it, and they mix metric and imperial units. And it refers to yeast as "baking powder". The rest of the manual is very badly translated from some language that has nothing in common with english.
