It is somewhat quiet, has a big rim size which makes it feel like a real basketball goad. I would not recommend trying to hang on it as the rim is sturdy and can handle brutal slams just not sturdy enough to hang on. The ball very nice I would say it looks and feels realistic which I think is good and fun for the kids so they can really feel like they are playing basketball. The one I bought does not glow in the dark, but it is still pretty fun the rim is also very level which give for great accuracy and contestant shots. ... show more

This is my 9 year old sons favorite toy. It hangs on his bedroom door and he is always tossing a ball into the hoop. I attaches over the door and comes with a soft ball so it is not distructive to the door structure or walls. This is a great size for hanging right on the back of his bedroom door, it is not to small, but also not to large.     • Better than most, great rim and mounting hardware, but plastic backboard still broke after 9 months

The rim and mounting hardware are excellent - solid steel - but they bolt on to a plastic backboard, and that's still the weak link. It worked well for awhile - much better than the cheapies that break right away. Positives: Perfect size for basement or indoor play area. Another bright point - the ball it comes with is perfect for indoor use! Much better than those flimsy rubber ones some come with that are sometimes lopsided. This feels more like a real mini-basketball and shoots and dribbles nicely (even on carpet). Negatives: My 9 year old loved this one for a while, but after a little while with some light dunking, it became clear you need to be gentle with it or it'll break. The plastic started to crack where the metal mounting piece ends, and eventually, it cracked across the entire backboard. The search for a more durable one continues... ... show more
