This pad is EXTREMELY comfortable, although I did not realize how large it was. It is bigger than your average gym barbell pad. So if that is not what you’re looking for I would not recommend. Otherwise it’s awesome and I love it! No more neck hurting from barbells!

I know this pad should be snug but the gap is excessive even when pulling it tight with the velcro. I'm using it on a Smith Machine bar. Needs to fit better. I will change review after I use it but as for now, I'm not inpressed with the fit. Maybe it fits better on the smaller one inch plate bars but I use the Olympic weights. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I like the comfort this pad adds to my workout whether it is used on the Smith Machine or on the ground as a neck support. I love the fact that I don’t have to share the one that’s passed around the gym from member to member…ewww. I wish there was a way to remove the cover to wash it if and when it gets dirty, but it’s not removable. It’s cool though 👌🏾 ... show more

The outside cover also covers the inside where the bar fits. The cover is sewn at all seams so there is no way to remove the cover without cutting it. The velcro tabs make it secure and easy to place it on the bar and easy to remove. This is a superior design to the pull straps that some pads use to hold the cover on the bar. I have used this pad on Olympic size bars and smaller "smart bars" and the fit is fine. The velcro makes it easy to pull the pad tight around the bar. The foam pad inside seems to be the right level without being too hard or soft. The sections on each end are covered with a strong but flexible nylon. The center section uses a very soft and comfortable stretch material. The diameter of the pad on each side is about 3.5" and the center section has a diameter of about 3". Overall, I consider this pad to be well made if you are looking for this type of squat/hip thrust pad. But, after using this pad for several workouts I discovered that the pad was putting pressure on my neck so I stopped using it for squats. I can't say if this will happen to you but you should be aware of this issue before buying one. This is why I rated it four stars instead of five. Many people use these types of pads and are happy with them. I don't think that this is a problem with only this brand of squat pad and I have to now assume that any brand is going to cause a neck problem for me. I don't plan to return this item because I still plan to use it for hip thrusts but not squats. ... show more

This is a good product but needs modification to be perfect. The velcro strap things are way to long to securely fit the pad to my bar. I reduced the length of the strap and sew the velcro to to match. Now the it straps securely to my barbell and does not move. No sliding or rotating when doing squats and hip thrusts. ... show more
