I am tough on my nails as I ride horses and the barn chips just about any nail polish. Its great to not only have a polish that dries but also holds up reasonably well with tough wear and tear. Is it perfect? No. Is it the same as gel? No. But its not gel. Its a better version. No peeling your nail polish off, no sitting there waiting for it to dry. I threw out all of my conventional nail polish when gel came out and I purchases my own at home kit. Essie has made a believer out of me though. This is a great alternative to when I know I will want to change colors quickly. Tips: Yes the clear coat gets dull after 4 days or so...just put another coat on! The polish dries quick but the shape of the brush helps you spread the polish easily. Once you do your nails once or twice you will perfect the technique. ... show more

For some reason my nails have recently grown out for the first time in my 55 years. I have been working hard to learn how to file them properly. I recently had a manicure at a salon and they used Essie products. Not having a lot of money, I kind of looked around for a system that would give me a salon look at home. And this fit the bill and was even prettier than I expected! It truly does give your nails the gel polish look. But without the damage that you have to undergo in the salon to get gel nails. And the product removes with standard polish remover! I don't usually take time to write reviews, but these products actually do what they say they're going to do. The top coat polish was crystallized to the brush and is unusable. You can't return the polish to Amazon. So I contacted Essie and discovered I have to send the product back and they will send me a coupon for another Essie product for the amount I spent. I have to use the coupon in a store and not online. This process with take 3 to 4 weeks to get. return mailer and coupon. I bought this color for an event in 2 weeks. VERY annoying. I will not buy another polish from them. Waste of money. ... show more

Photos: Day 1, 4 (after topcoat touch up), and 9. Removed on day 10. I probably could have gotten a few more days if I had done another topcoat, but the edges were beginning to wear and the beginnings of some chipping. Polish dries quickly and was very easy to remove. This color is take me to thread. It looks better when topcoat is fresh and begins to look duller a few days out, but I still liked it. Overall, very impressed and will use again. ... show more

It really looks like gel polish but without the 3 step application or light. So far no chipping (3 days and did the dishes after holiday dinner). I recently stopped getting my nails done at the salon after many years so my nails are pretty fragile and bumpy and this polish covers well and it’s thick enough to give smooth finish. I usually do my own at-home gel manicures for both mani & pedis. I haven't had the time to be able to sit down and do either since COVID began (I work in the hospital) but I still wanted to feel slightly put together in regards to my nails. Well, this was the PERFECT polish to help me with this. I waited to write a review until I had genuinely used it and saw how it held up, it's been over a week and I only have SLIGHT chips in my polish. I would go as far as saying it almost held up as well as my actual UV gel nails. It also dries within 20 minutes (I know it always says instant activation but we all know it takes a little to fully set in) and did not smudge like the Sally Hansen gel polish I had used previously.
