when i first opened the box i was kinda miffed because i saw no discs in the box and i was expecting at least one. reading the instructions did not help because they indicated i should have 6.. 😭 anyhoo, long story short, the disc is preloaded in the tray so...yea. 😅 but let's start at the beginning. are you a 'space, the final frontier' type? physics geek? hopeless romantic? terrible at interior design? if you answered yes to any of these questions, this projector might be for you! now, you aren't getting a genuine night sky, obviously, so don't think you're going to replace the telescope with this, but if you're a fan of scifi and/or astronomy, this is a fun piece of equipment to have. for example, imagine laying out on a blanket, looking up at the stars .. now imagine being able to do it from the comfort of your own bed. 🤩 or, are your walls and ceiling bare, boring white? oh, is that just me? anyway, samosvit to the rescue! transform your blank ceiling and give your room a sense of depth by using this projector. 🤩🤩 about the projector itself, it's pretty lightweight and has a small footprint so you can use it without taking up a lot of table space. it's well-made with a sturdy metal base that serves as the rotation anchor and it also has a light strip that encircles the projector--it changes color and can be used as a night light or even just for ambient light. the controls are intuitive but the manual is your friend. i definitely recommend reading through the manual so you have an idea of what to expect from the projector and so you know how best to maximize the films (spoiler alert, the discs burn out eventually). as far as the bad, there really isn't anything bad about it. i do wish it were rechargeable to increase the portability and it would also be great if it included a remote control. anyhoo, for ~50$, this is not a great value. in fact, it's less than stellar. (get it?) and i really hate to say that because i love this projector, but the truth is you can easily find a similar if not the same projector that includes 12 or 13 discs for less than the price of this projector with its single disc. i even found one that had the remote! 😭 with that in mind, i cannot in good conscience recommend this projector without a warning that you can find a MUCH better value with minimal effort (i personally found them when i was searching for other discs). i won't ding it for being a poor value, but consider yourself warned. in the box: galaxy projector 1 moon disc usb c charging cable user manual lens cleaning cloth

This HD Planetarium Projector is really fun and creates a beautiful galaxy atmosphere in the room. The star and nebula effects look especially nice and make bedtime or relaxing evenings more enjoyable for both kids and adults. The meteor effect is a cool touch and adds a bit of motion that makes the display feel more alive. However, it does need to be completely dark to really get the best visual effect—any ambient light takes away from the clarity quite a bit. Also, I wish it came with more projection disks or variation options, similar to other comparable models. That would make it feel more versatile over time. Overall, it’s a great mood-light projector and works well for what it is, just a bit limited in variety and lighting conditions.

The clarity and brightness of this device is insane! The projection quality is so much better than I was expecting. I haven't had one of these since I was a kid, and definitely never one that casts an image this clear. This setup provides one moon image disk with asteroids and stars surrounding it. There is also a secondary projector for meteor flybys to add some extra movement into the mix. The internal assembly works to cast the full spinning design on the ceiling. The device can also be used as a night light without the projector with its accent ring that features adjustable color modes. Everything works flawlessly with the exception of some intermittent stuttering with the image disk during its rotation cycle. It seems to "jump" suddenly every once in a while like its catching up to the rotation of the drive gears. All in all this is a very cool, very fancy night light. We're probably going to purchase the other image cartridges in the near future.

If you're a hopeless romantic, a space enthusiast, or just someone tired of boring white walls, this projector is undeniably a piece of magic. The moment you flip the switch, your ceiling transforms into a lifelike, moving starry night complete with shooting stars and a rotating moon nebula. It creates an immersive atmosphere that feels like you're lying on a blanket under the open sky, right from the comfort of your bed. The build quality is solid, featuring a sturdy metal base and a fun, color-changing light ring that doubles as ambient lighting. Plus, the adjustable focus and spin speed let you fine-tune the experience exactly how you like it. However, I cannot in good conscience recommend this specific model without a major caveat: the value just isn't there for the price. At around this price point I expected more. The box arrives with only one disc (the moon and stars scene), and when I first opened it, I was actually miffed to realize there were no discs in the packaging—the single disc was pre-loaded in the tray. While the disc is high quality, the lack of variety for the cost is a dealbreaker. I've since discovered that you can easily find similar or identical projectors that include 12 to 13 discs for less than the price of this unit, and some even come with a remote control. Pros: 1. Creates a realistic, immersive galaxy effect that fills the ceiling and upper walls. 2. Sturdy metal base and durable construction. 3. The color-changing ring adds a nice touch for ambient mood lighting. 4. Intuitive controls, focus knob, and timer options. Cons: 1. The price for a 50 for a single disc is steep when competitors offer bundles with 12+ discs for less. 2. No remote control included, and it's not rechargeable, limiting portability. 3. One disc means you'll need to buy more separately if you want variety. The Verdict: This is a fantastic projector if you can find it on sale or if you already have a collection of projector discs. The light and motion effects are beautiful, and it's a great gift for kids or space lovers. But if you're looking for the best bang for your buck, I strongly suggest you look elsewhere. You can get a much better value with minimal effort by finding a model that includes a larger disc library and a remote right out of the box.

Such a great projector, I'm blown away. It projects a lifelike space scene across the whole ceiling. The room is 15 x 12 and it fills the entire ceiling and the top part of the walls! It is so lifelike and moves slowly with an occasional shooting star for realistic feel. Has a 1 and 2 hour timer so you can turn it on and have it auto shut off. You can fine tune focus the scene by turning the lens clockwise or counterclockwise. Uses round discs for different scenes which can be removed by pulling out the disc holder. Only wish it came with a additional discs but I'll have to look into getting more. Great buy and highly, highly recommend! Kids will really love it.

I got this for my niece for her birthday in July so I cannot comment on it functionality, but with all of his attributes and knowing that she loves stuff like this I’m sure she’s gonna thoroughly enjoy it. It has six moles of ambient lighting, silent rotation, a meteor switch, a focus knob, adjustable positioning, and a timer for automatic shut down. It’s also just a good looking projector. I took off one star due to the price and that it only has one disc because you definitely can get other projectors with more disc at a lesser price.

We love this projector so much!! It's so cool that it has shooting stars. The moon and stars scene that's included is beautiful. I like that the spin speed is adjustable, as well as the light ring around the projector itself. The discs are depreciable so I don't leave it on when not in the room. You can buy other discs for more pictures which I'm planning to do. There's a focus adjuster knob so I was able to get the picture really clear. The kids have loved falling asleep watching the stars!
