This is such a small computer, it looks so much larger in the pics . It's very slow and has to be taught every vehicle before it will recognize it. I thought it was a better computer than it is . I guess you just get what you pay for. Going back to the larger manufacturers now.

    • Helped Me Fix My GMC Yukon
I was having a "service suspension system" message on my 2016 GMC Yukon Denali, which has the RPO code Z95 for the suspension. The truck comes stock with GM's MagneRide (magnetic ride control) which has a combination of magnetic shocks in the front and self-leveling shocks in the back that fill with air using a compressor bolted to the rear driver side frame near the wheel well. I originally inspected and replaced the compressor in the back, as I was certain the original had failed. After replacing it, my rear suspension performed better but the "service suspension system" warning continued. I bought this scan tool in hopes of further investigating the issue, as my simple OBD bluetooth reader + Torque app didn't show me any codes. There's a ton of these different devices, but this one was advertised (on the Foxwell website itself) to read the suspension control module (the on board control board that handles the suspension), which is what I needed to read. This isn't the cheapest tool, but was certainly cheaper than the more official tools used by GM dealers. I have both a GMC Yukon and a Sierra and do all my own repairs, so I figured it was time. I have to say I was honestly surprised at how solid this little device was. The instructions were clear enough (I didn't bother registering/updating, I just plugged it into the car and turned the ignition to run by pressing my start button without the brake applied). Once the car was powered up, I used the tool to automatically pull my VIN (it took 5 seconds), and the tool verified my make and model. I then went into the control modules section (versus reading all codes from all control modules), scrolled to the suspension control module, and read the codes. The tool showed me an old code for the compressor (it was currently "passing" but previously had failed) so I was happy to see my initial replacement of the compressor appeared to have solved one issue. It also showed me a C0580-04 (right front shock absorber actuator circuit - open). This one was a surprise to me. I figured it was a loose sensor or something, and was able to see the top of the right front shock from the engine bay. Sure enough, the little sensor connector at the top didn't look quite right at the plug it goes in to. I unplugged it, fixed the two pins that were a little loose, and replugged it. No more dash warning. I used the scan tool to read the codes again, and this time I only had a historical failure on the sensor. I then used the tool to clear the codes in my suspension control module, and the problem was resolved. I purchased the Foxwell Automaster pro on Nov. 13 2021 and it worked once. I had to use it about a month after buying it and it worked helped me find and fix my issue. Since then I have tried it on few of my buddies trucks and it never would work and kept freezing up and I would have to unplug and start all over only for it to freeze up again. Tried doing software updates and it updated once but still won’t do anything. I have tried to see if it was a glitch that a software update would fix but nothing and now I’m out of my warranty and I’m stuck with a almost $300 piece of junk. Every vehicle that I attach the Foxwell to went through the initial information collecting but then would error about the vehicle being unavailable. I tried to contact the Chinese support for months with no replies. When I hook it up for updating, the web page says my device is already registered to someone else. After 3 months they emailed a download link that installed correctly and my unit works again. ... show more

It took @3 minutes to search for the vin. In the meantime, it shutdown the radio and clock. Shutting off and on systems. And couldn't find the vin for a 99 suburban
