The first one sent to me was damaged. I immediately returned it and a new one was sent out in a couple of days. From what I can see, it is well constructed. I will test it in the field this weekend.

First of all, this inverter comes with a cigarette lighter plug to power it AND alligator clips to attach to a battery directly. Why? Because the wiring and fusing of your power port, aka cigarette lighter socket in your car will be damaged if you try and pull 600 Watts out of it. That's why you can only run things like laptops or so in your car...maybe up to 150 Watts or a bit more. But if you go camping and want to plug your cooler or small fridge in, you will need to pop the hood and then you just switch to the alligator clips to directly pull power from your battery. Remember that this is rated at 600 Watts so don't be surprised if you can't run more than one big power hungry item at a time. You should still be able to run fans and lights at the same time though. Note that the power it puts out is of a modified sine wave form. Sensitive electronics may not like that. Most things will work just fine. Now let's talk price. This unit is only a few bucks more than most 300 and 400 Watt units. It is of course larger but my point is this unit is very well priced for what you get. Both the Type C and Type A USB charger ports are quick charge ports. Something the lesser quality units don't have is a simple on/off switch which is on the back of this one. So I bought mine to store away for emergency use. It runs a small fridge I have that also is unplugged and stored away. This inverter is wrapped in bubble wrap and stored in a Faraday bag inside of a steel drum with the fridge just to protect it from an EMP or solar disturbance. My family has medications that need to be kept cool or they go bad. They go bad and bad things happen. Luckily we have solar power and other inverter backups stored too.

The FOVAL 600W Power Inverter 12V DC to 110V AC Car Plug Adapter Outlet Converter with [65W PD USB-C] & [18W QC USB-A] Fast Charging Ports and 2 AC Outlets Car Power Inverter for Laptop Computer is a good value. Just remember that the lighter plug wire will only get you roughly 240W max before you blow the 20A fuse in your vehicle's 12v port, you have to use the larger wires with the battery clamps to get close to the full 600W output. I wasn't able to test it at higher wattages but running a few lamps (simulated power outage use) worked fine off of a small used car battery I keep in the garage for testing. Fully charged it was only showing 12.6v and barely put out 11v under load, it was an old battery after all that couldn't start a car. Overall, I think this is a nice inverter for the price.

I have one identical to this one under a different brand name that has lasted me for years. Powers a higher end laptop on the road just fine. Because of my experience with the other one, I got this one for a new vehicle I got because I like to hard wire them in permanently.

My old inverter finally quit on me, so I picked this 600W power inverter, mainly because of the 65W USB-C port, which is the minimum required for my laptop. And guess what? It works perfectly! We used it on our last camping trip, where I brought along two of my old 12V car batteries. This inverter worked great, powering up our tent with an electric fan and a table lamp, and recharging multiple devices. The USB and USB-C ports are super convenient for charging everything we needed. This inverter is a fantastic investment for anyone needing reliable power on the go. Highly recommended!
