This will be a multi part review. Part 1. Unpacking Packaging was impeccable. Be patient and find the end of the protective wrapping. The unwrapping of the plastic wrap will make removal much easier and you won't be goaded into using a knife which might damage the finish. Unwrapping is the fastest means of removal of protective materials. Wow, what awesome quality of all components. The welds are perfect and the baked on finish is impeccable. I am truly blown away. Part 2. Assembly The instructions are superb. Everything is shown with a written description and drawing. Sequencing is spot on. My only suggestion is to use Locktite blue on the last 3 screws, but may not be necessary if properly tightened. Part 3. Install Very easy, just slide hitch into receiver, insert heavy duty locking hitch pin and install anti-rattle clip. Part 4. Use Position bend tube assembly for tire position. Lower top tube cross bar holder as low as possible then tighten to what seems overtight. When driving at first, stop to check cross bar holder to make certain it hasn't ridden upward. See photo of how I positioned tire straps to be most effective. Part 5. Safety Go back and re-tighten all knobs. If loading one bike, I suggest loading it in the foreword position. Raise the crossbar holders to highest position and back the bike onto the rack and into position. Drop the crossbar holders down tight to the bike, tighten and install wheel straps . Worth the money. When tilted on my minivan I have room for lift gate to open and easy access to my stuff in the back of van.

    • Who is this company? No communication!
Assembly relatively simply but in step 1 the position of the two spacers is impossible to install without holding them in position with tape (something that would have been nice for them to put in their instructions.) The email address they give is bogus and their web address is unreachable. All in all I would stay clear of this company. As far as the product is concerned, it seems solid enough but fully assembled it seems a little shaky and loose. The first run seemed to be alright but I just hope that it holds together with the bikes on it. Update: The rack seems to be sturdy enough so no complaint there. The company did contact me and seems to be anxious to please so I commend them for that. But it seems that you still have to wait for them to contact you since I still cannot find any way to contact Forwode even on google. They really should correct this! I bought this to haul 2 e-bikes. It works great by supporting both tires of each bike rather than supporting them by a cross bar. One of my bikes has a bar, the other is a step thru bike. These both stay secure even through rough, gravel roads. Very happy with this purchase!!

I had a 75 lb surron on the rack, which should support 150lbs. The rack broke on one side while on the road. Fortunately I heard it, but I wouldn't purchase this rack for any bike honestly.
