good for travel
Review Image by Matt Ge
I recently tried the Skylink GLOBAL SLG-06MIFI, and here are my thoughts. Setting it up was straightforward, which I appreciated. The connection was stable most of the time, and the speed was decent for browsing and streaming. It’s quite portable, fitting easily in my bag. The battery life is decent, lasting around 6-8 hours, which is fine for short trips. However, I did notice that the device tends to get warm during extended use, which might be a concern for some. Overall, it’s a solid option for mobile WiFi ... show more

Would have given a zero star if I can . Tried calling the customer care number they provided for help and there is actually no such number available. Since it says global i expected it to be able to purchase data when traveling to the Caribbean how ever unfortunately the barcode to scan for data package only direct you to a page or noted that is defaultly written download.... Waiste of money, I was really hoping for a better outcome but the device is useless. ... show more

Easy Global Internet On the Go
Review Image by Thomas Smith
Review Image by Thomas Smith
I picked up the Skylink Global SLG-06 Blade mainly for travel with my son. His phone plan is super limited and I didn't want to bump him up to something pricier. So this felt like a smarter workaround, and honestly, I am impressed even before taking it on our first trip. Why it stood out: Right out of the box, it's clear this thing is made for convenience. No SIM card to mess with, no contracts, no confusing setup. It uses something called virtual SIM tech, which basically means it will connect to the strongest available cellular network on its own, whether you're in the US or halfway across the globe. That alone makes it a huge win for travelers, digital nomads, or anyone hopping countries. What's great: + No SIM card needed, no contract + Claims to work in over 140 countries + Solid LTE speeds + Can connect up to 16 devices + Real-time data display on the screen + Comes with 10GB US data at no cost to start + Compact and light, fits right in a backpack or purse + Simple setup: power on, scan QR code, done Potential cons (depending on your needs): - The 10GB starter data is for the US only - If you need more data, you have to pay (they have flexible options) - No 5G support, this is LTE only - No waterproofing, so probably not beach-proof Who it's for: If you're a traveler, remote worker, parent with kids who love their screens, or someone who just wants reliable internet without switching SIMs, this hits the sweet spot. Also great for work trips, RV travel, or even backup WiFi at home. A quick tip: Use the QR code method to connect, it's way faster than entering SSIDs and passwords. And keep an eye on data use if you're streaming. Final thoughts: This little box takes the stress out of staying connected. Whether we're road tripping across the country or hopping over to Asia, I know we'll have internet ready to go, no SIM swapping, no roaming headaches. ... show more

Garbage, do not buy
Piece of garbage that will not connect and product support or contact of the seller is not available. Complete waste of money. Stay away from this trash.
