This neck massager will massage the same area very nice, but that's it, it is for only one area of the neck. The added heat can be relaxing too. It does feel like fingers massaging the back of the neck, but moving out to the shoulders it is limited. This could be of help for those who get tension headaches.

My neck is often stiff and sore, so I was very excited to get this neck and shoulder massager. However, it is very heavy and clunky, and seems to be made for a smaller neck. It didn't work for me. The straps that come with it have no instructions, so I had to try to figure out how to fit them around my shoulders and/or arms to help keep the massager in place. In the end I just gave up and decided to return it.

This machine manages to do what my wife is unable to do - give a massage, and a decent one at that. It took a couple minutes of reading to ensure I was putting it on my neck correctly and what all the buttons do. Certainly the power button icon isn't like any other power button I've seen, so it's not intuitive. Also the buttons are too high up on the massager so they can't be seen while using it, so one must memorize the order of the buttons to use them without looking at them. One changes the mode from regular to throwing some pulsing into the massage. The next button increases the speed of massage. And the last button is heat though I couldn't feel it when I turned it on, though maybe the button didn't activate. Regardless the massage on its' own is pretty good and strong. I used it after cutting limbs with a chainsaw for a couple hours and it was just what I needed. 10 minutes of strong massage and I felt relaxed. Is it better than a massage from a masseuse or anyone who knows what they're doing? No. This is a machine that can only massage the same area of your back and neck, whereas a human can vary the areas and vary the pressure based on your feedback. But if you lack a human with skills and lack the money for a regular masseuse, this is well worth the price. Between this and my expensive massage chair, I'm all set! My only complaint is that I charged it for 8 hours and the light stayed red the entire time, so I have no idea if it was fully charged or not.

I've used similar devices in the past and there are pros and cons to this particular massager worth noting. First and foremost, I do love this, it's the best neck/shoulder massager that I own because it truly feels like hands and fingers are massaging my neck. The pressure is just right and it leaves my neck feeling much looser after a session or two. I also appreciate that they use a type C charger and not some kind of proprietary type of charger. The drawbacks to this though are that you are pretty much limited to using this on your neck. Some past massagers that I had which were kind of similar to this weren't as effective on my neck and shoulders; however, they were more versatile because I could also use them on my back. The way this is designed makes using it on my back awkward, but granted that's not what this is designed for so I can't knock it too much for that, just one star. Lastly, the only other issue I see with this is the buttons and how they're labeled. They're fairly difficult to understand what they do based on how they are displayed. A quick look at the instructions cleared up any confusion, but again I would have liked to see them be a bit simpler to understand. Despite that, the operation is pretty easy and once again this delivers an amazing neck/shoulder massage!

This compact and durable device is essential for long road trips. It can be powered using a cigarette lighter phone charger while on the road and a wall outlet upon arrival. The device effectively relieves tight muscles, providing a sensation akin to a real massage. I'm impressed with its performance and would happily purchase it again.

Having the heat on your neck to relax the muscles definitely helps the massager to feel more effective. I get regular neck spasms. So this is lovely when I want to just relax and try to release tension in my neck. I'd say it's a nice product, but a little steep for a massager. I am a relatively thin person with a boney neck and it fits me fine and has enough padding that I don't find it irritating in any way. I like that you can decide how hard to pull it against your neck. The charge lasts ages, so you're not having to charge it every use.

I don't really care much for this device. I charged it straight out of the box with the included pieces and that part was easy enough. When it came time to actually using the massager it fell flat. The massage is more of just a pinching motion and took a lot of adjusting to try to get it to a place that felt somewhat comfortable. I had my husband try it, in case it was purely user error, and he agreed that it isn't great. It's awkward. The positioning is weird, the straps are weird, even looking out of the corner of your eye to hit the right button on the control strip is weird.
