Had it for over a month now and it is everything you need in a dehydrator. Pros: Space - 4 lbs of meat and only using 5 trays without crowding. Can probably fit up to 10 lbs Light - Illuminates the inside very well Door window - In combination with the light this is an incredible feature that allows you to see the progression of your dehydrating without having to open the door Easy to clean - Stainless steel everything, doesn't get easier Cons: The only con so far is that the temperature setting is in Celsius but any online converter will help you out. Also once you figure out your desired temperature your good to go. Tip: Once you receive the dehydrator you can contact the seller and receive free silicone mats which come in very handy.

Update: First reviewed this in April, and would just like to say that now in July it's still amazing. They did send me 5 silicone mats as well for reviewing it in the first place (didn't have to be a good review, by the way; it's 5 stars because I genuinely think it's a good dehydrator). I'm glad they did, because I can use it for smaller things like herbs and diced beets. Made amazing dried mango slices, zucchini chips, chicken jerky, kimchi chips (ended up crushing then into kimchi powder which is even better), and when it's not actively in use I lay my herbs, chamomile, and candied flowers in it to dry dust-free. It ventilates well enough even unplugged to make a good drying cabinet. I'm kinda tickled pink with it. I'll update at the one-year mark. 10/11/2020: Held a whopping 50 roma tomatoes (1/3" slices, about 5-6 slices per tomato) using only 7 of the 10 trays. At full capacity, it could easily hold 75-80. Currently running 6 *huge* apples using 4 trays, so it could probably hold 15 per batch - more if you crowd it. I continue to be impressed. ----- Exactly the features I was looking for - all stainless steel, large capacity, temperature controls & timer, and most importantly a larger *range* of temperatures. Would like to make chicken jerky, and poultry must be preheated to 165° or above before dehydrating - many dehydrators can't go above 160°. Tried it on a batch of kale chips to test it with great results. Easy to set up and use. It came with a spare lightbulb and looks as if it could easily be repaired at home with generic parts should something go wrong past the warranty window. I'll be using a temperature probe next time to see how accurate the temperatures are - for now, 5 stars!

Received yesterday. Dehydrated some zucchini. Seem to do well with that. I recommend the manufacturer look at using rubber washers or some other vibration prevention as it really rattled like crazy until I filled a sock with rice, tied the end, and laid it across the top. That really cut the vibration down.. so overall it seems like a keeper with the rice filled sock solution. I like the light inside and the real glass door. Another recommendation to the manufacturer. The unit has no air filtering. So it is possible to suck in dust, flying insects, etc.. If your work space is clean and there are no flies in the house, it is probably not a problem. We are going to rig some sort of air filter anyway being careful to not impeded the air flow. As I just got it, I need more time to render an informed opinion. Keeping my review at four stars.. May go up or down depending on what happens in the next few months. *** Update.. Just dehydrated 12 early girl tomatoes. These were some decent sized tomatoes and a ton of cherry tomatoes. Took better part of a full day but the tomato slices were pretty thick. Took them down to as thin as a potato chip. I mean the 12 tomatoes all fit in one one quart ziplock with room to spare. So far I am liking this dehydrator...

For years I’ve dehydrated food (chicken breasts, liver) for my picky dogs. I’ve had two of the basic dehydrators that are round with stackable trays - both worked just fine and got the job done but this larger unit with square trays makes life a lot easier. I am able to make larger quantities, easier placing uncooked meats on larger trays, stainless steel is so much easier to clean. The unit functions easily, the touch controls for time & heat are easy to program, the locking door is nice and while I can hear the unit operating It is not loud or noisy. I’m very happy with this purchase and hope to get many years of service from this.

I have to say, I do love this food dryer. I was going to leave a 5 star review, however, I subtracted one star because of the companies policies. They say, just send us an email and you can get free silicone mats for your dryer. Well, then you have to fill out a form, then you have to make a review and send them a screenshot of the review. That, I do not appreciate. So My issue is with the policy, not the product. They should say straight up, you get silicone mats for a good review, not if you send the email requesting it, then make you prove your review. As you can see from the photo, the dryer is large, for size reference, those are quart canning jars next to it. I love the settings for temp and time. I love the metal trays. The cookbook was a handy starter reference. Instructions for set up were usable. I had a question, they responded via email. I just got it out originally to make sure it worked, as I did not plan on using it until the end of summer. But when I started playing with it, it was so awesome I just started drying things. I did not even know you could dry lemons, or cucumbers. They are all delicious. I think it may live on my cupboard forever! I have now had it about a year. I still love it. I would buy it again. If it lasts 5-10 years, I will be happy. If it lasts less than that, I will update this review. They say there is a warranty, I do not know what that will look like, but if I find out, I will update. **I did get the mats, and then bought extra fruir leather mats!
