Bought this for my boyfriend for valentines day and it is awesome. Makes quite a few snow cones, comes with two snow cone holders, but we use bowls instead. Chops ice fairly quickly and easy to use and in my opinion safe.

The machine is compact and easy to use, but the ice is not shaved, it's chunks, more like crushed than shaved. I would've loved to have the very fine shaved ice, but this is not what comes out.
