While you don't see them that often anymore, I like folding rulers. Unlike tape measures, you can hold them over a span such as a wall to make a measurement without them collapsing. They are also handy for measuring uneven surfaces. Anyway, I like them, and these two rulers look like they will serve me well. the markings are clear and accurate when compared to other rulers I have, and the joints generally seem tight. There are a couple of odd things. One is that the two rulers have different types of joints. it doesn't affect how they work, it is just weird. The other odd thing is the inclusion of the fake velvet carrying bags. I mean, these aren't prized possessions, they get tossed in a toolbox, an nobody wants to have to undo the carrying bag, which will inevitably end up covered in sawdust, just to get to the ruler. But those are just oddities. Overall, completely satisfactory tools.

The fact that they extend to 6 feet 6 inches makes them much more versatile than a standard yardstick, and the US and imperial scales are clear and easy to read. I compared the measurements with another tape measure I trust, and they matched exactly, which is always important with measuring tools. They fold up nicely for storage, which makes them easy to keep in a toolbox or bag, and the hardwood construction feels very well made and durable. Overall, these are excellent quality folding rulers—accurate, sturdy, and very convenient. If you like traditional measuring tools but want something more versatile, these are a great choice. This set comes with two foldable rulers, which is nice since you get a couple of different styles in one pack. One appears to be wood and the other looks like a plastic or composite material. Both rulers fold out to full length and feel reasonably solid when extended. The markings are easy to read and the folding design makes them convenient to store or carry around in a toolbox or drawer. Each ruler also comes with its own small storage pouch, which is a nice extra and helps keep them from getting scratched or lost among other tools. They seem like good basic measuring tools to keep around for everyday projects, especially if you like the compact design of folding rulers.
