  • high performance for small $$
Style: Electric Scooter
Build quality – it feels very sturdy and solid while driving. Most components feels strong such as the standing base, the handlebars and the steering column. I noticed that the overall weight of this scooter is about 8-10 pounds heavier compared to similar scooter and that adds to the scooters solid build feel. If there is one thing I might criticize is the rear fender with the brake light. I like the brake light feature a lot but when riding on unsmooth surfaces the rear fender tends to rattle or make a clapping noise. I know that might be due to the plastic materials but it is still acceptable to me. Overall build quality is a 9/10. Performance – the scooter achieves the speed as described in the product description. Very few scooters below the $500 dollar purchase price can go over 18mph and I was able to achieve 19mph which is great for me. I really enjoy going the top speed when I am able to. The braking is very good and strong. I had to get used to how strong the brake was because a few times I had trouble keeping balance. The range appears to be as good as described. After riding for 30 minutes between low and medium speed, about 4-5 miles riding, the remaining range was still 3 out of 4 bars or 75% power remaining. Performance quality is 9+/10 Extra features – I really like the double headlights and the safety it offers. It is very bright and is noticeable during the day time. I like the multi lights on the side of the scooter and the rear brake light that flashed when the brake is applied. All of those features add safety to the rider. Also I appreciate the solid tires which I think are great. They feel solid and smooth and I don’t have to worry about them going flat. For future designs I think the addition of a "hook" or something to help carry a bag or water bottle would be a good idea. It would be extra nice if you could add a built in bluetooth speaker on the steering column. ... show more

  • Front spring is terrible
Style: Electric Scooter
So the scooter is just ok. Meaning the headlights, power functions, charging... those are fine. The spring in the front seemed ideal as none of the scooters at this level seem to have shocks at all. This shock grounds out (meaning it doesn't prevent or soften the bump at all, the post and the board housing smash into one another) for every single bump. This delays the impact for a fraction of a second and makes the front tire skip for another fraction of a second. It also makes a very loud distracting sound when the plastic parts smash together. I honestly thought the fender was breaking or something. Even the smallest bumps cause this to occur which jars the steering just enough to be significant. I have ridden several of electric scooters before and even with out the spring I have gotten a better ride. My commute to work is a straight shot down a paved street. I hit a common and unavoidable seam in the pavement, the shock did the smashing sound as it connected with the housing, and the powered wheel bounced poorly, sending me for a short ride into someone's driveway without the scooter. I'll be returning this defective scooter right away. ... show more

  • Smooth sailing so far!!!
Style: Electric Scooter
After issues that resulted in my local city canceling their contract with the rideshare E-scooters that were provided to my area, I was forced to seek alternate transportation by ordering this very same scooter. Even though the delivery was a day later than promised, the wait was well worth it. I know very little about scooter assembling and the instructions were kind of vague, but I managed to get it up and together in less than 30 minutes. I was used to a scooter that would give me a top speed of 15MPH. This scooter does about 20MPH, provided that you're not weighed down with a heavy backpack and on a flat stretch of road with only a minimum of bumps. The LED lighting was awesome. Word to the wise, though. The instructions were vague on exactly what is needed to do for the headlight to turn on. Once you have the LED display lit up on the small screen provided, push the one button twice. Not rapidly, or it won't turn on at all. Took me 2 days to understand this or the lights won't work at all. There are 3 speeds to this scooter. All can be worked with just an additional push of the button. All in this order... The blue light is 1st speed: Top speed is 9 miles an hour. This is a very good speed for first-time riders not comfortable with a big burst of speed. The orange light is 2nd speed: Top speed is 15 miles an hour. This is just as fast as the maximum speed for most scooters out there for sale. I recommend not going any faster than this speed if you're encountering a lot of heavy traffic. Actually, to keep on the safe side, my average speed of commute in my bustling city is 12MPH. The red light is 3rd speed: Top speed is 19 miles an hour, even though I saw my LED display flicker to 20 for a few seconds on a good stretch of road. Not a recommended speed for when there are cars and pedestrians all over the place. People may think that this is slow, but on a scooter with your body mostly unprotected just inches off the ground, this is extremely fast and dangerous if you don't know what you're doing. I wouldn't recommend this speed for first-timers just getting adjusted to the operational maneuvering of a basic e-scooter. I keep my scooter well-maintained and it operates very well without much problems. Caution: Maintain the screws that you have to screw in on the handlebars. If you don't have some liquid adhesive that'll keep them in place and you tend to ride down a street/sidewalk with a lot of bumps on it, the screws tend to come a bit loose after several blocks. Keep a screwdriver handy--the one that is sent with the scooter will do just fine, and tighten those things back up. That is the only problem I really have to address about the scooter, but then again, it's a moving vehicle and just like your average car/truck/van/motorbike, it has to be maintained and kept in good running condition. A few minutes of looking it over every day isn't going to be a problem. There are a few bumpy roads in my neighborhood. Going in 3rd gear a lot of the time, my scooter isn't going to go above 17MPH on a straight level because of all the bumps it tends to hit, which slows the scooter down. But that's still faster than the 15MPH that my local rideshare scooters could ever do. This scooter is a reliable vehicle. NOT a toy, as some people might think. Those toys are the little scooters that children have to push off with their feet every few seconds just to maintain forward motion. I don't have to worry about flat tires, but because there ARE wires poking out of the scooter frame, it's good to do a check on them to guarantee that they are in good shape. Dust off your taillight so that it can remain visible to other people at night, keep the screws tightened, just a basic few minutes a day will do. The instructions say that there is a downloadable phone app that helps you with this scooter mainly on how far you've ridden and stuff like that. I didn't trust my scooter with that app since it doesn't have an option on locking it down so that thieves can't get ahold of it. Other scooters apparently have that option. I'm still looking at lock options for mine, so be sure to look at those options for yourself to keep it from being stolen. I'll update this post if I feel the need to! ... show more
