AUGUST 2024 REVIEW 1 MONTH 1. Battery after 1 month charging 1/2 times a week due to lots of deliveries, holds up, still takes 3 to 6 hours to charge. 2. Everything works, just back tire keeps needing air 2 times a day, got at least 3 goat heads stuck in them, scared to try and fix it till a replacement tire comes in fear i'd be out of delivery till then, once spare comes ill check on seeing if way to repair tire for spare in future. 3. Attached a cargo trailer to it, makes transporting more stuff easier. 4. Attached a bike mirror to left side to see cars behind me. 5. Unlocked speeds: after battery bar loses 2 bars, i deep from 20MPH to 13MPH at gear 3, same for gear 2 and 1, less speed. Also less MPH speed with all bars if used a lot and still showing full bars. 6. Furthest i travel on full charge was 6 miles, 3 miles to and 3 miles back, battery lost 3 bars and slowed to 12 MPH at gear 3. If you want to maximize battery distance stay in gear 1 to get further distance. 7. Still not used to the seat going down on me when i hit pot holes and speed bumps and having to re adjust it no matter how tight i place leaver. 8. I bought a very loud remote alarm for the bike with remote, its so loud it hurts ears. 9. Took a delivery in country 3 miles in pure darkness, very scary, the headlights need something stronger, by the time to you see a pot hole, you're about to hit it and slam on breaks, im going to invest in a spot light for dark areas and more reflectors and a reflection vest. All july passed over 12 cops, parked, arresting people, stairing at me, driving past me, parked speed checking vehicles and even stopping to let me pass in cross walk driving, in California its classified as Class 2 Pedal Assistance, no drivers license needed almost any age. As much as i want to try and see if i can reach full 15 miles, 7 miles one way and 7 miles back, i am scared, its all country here, dont wanna walk home, flat tire or battery or something else. My friend wants to test it and follow in car, i really do not want to since i really have no reason to ever go that far. I removed the back wheel to get to a bolt to put my cargo trailer on and after putting the wheel on, some reason pedal assist no longer works, which is a plus as i hate it but would be good to know how to turn on again if i need it, although now that i know it can be turn off somehow down their i need to find out if i can make a switch to control it DIY for taking off at stop light but off when on sidewalk All in all my deliveries almost paid this off JULY 2024 REVIEW: so excited in a few days im going to buy a Bike Cargo Trailer to connect to the ebike to do larger delivery loads. Pros: Default Locked Speeds. OLD SPEEDS: 1 = 0 to 9PMH 2 = 10 to 12 MPH 3 = 13 to 15 MPH Using secret combo function to unlock speeds from 15mph to 20mph NEW SPEEDS: 1 = 0 to 12PMH 2 = 13 to 15 MPH 3 = 16 to 20 MPH - right here on this page are 2 videos that will walk you thru how to change speed to higher speeds. Model 1: power off, hold break, twist and hold throttle, turn on power and count to 10 sec. Model 2: power off, hold break, power on (with in 10 sec, you must twist throttle 3x times slowly) after trying one of or both of these steps, you should access higher speeds. i only seem to charge the device 1 to 2 times a week, really good battery. i removed the back seat and put on a thermal bag for food delivery as the terminal bag was sinking into the seat taking room inside and also put a flat board over the metal bars to smooth it out. took 6 hours to charge Cons: pain in the but to fold in half and very heavy to carry on and off bus or into car trunk but you can just heavy. no speedometer - i had to install app on android phone to let gps till me my speed. the seat likes to keep going down even when i try my best to tighten it and not comfortable, the bolt might have to be replace gonna hit up my local auto store and see if i can replace it. THE SEAT i hate the seat soooo much, need to find a better seat on amazon and replace it. i already got plans to upgrade in few months to another ebike but this time im going to get a normal looking bicycle that has the battery and throttle switch and motor. i tried to take this ebike on city bus told no ebikes with batterys, so my plan is to trick the bus with a noraml looking bicycle and before the bus comes remove the battery into backpack so i can get on bus with it and delivery in another town to make more money. the bicycle i found looks so normal only the battery gives it away. - my upgrade later has nothing to do with this ebike its self, just my local public transportion worried about ebikes after all the videos theyve seen with the battery and chargers.

Oustanding quality, components, finish and build. It is very fast, so be carefully to take off slowly. The brakes were super stoppers and incredibly never squeaked at all. The battery charged fully in a little over 4 hours. And, is ample enough to power the strong headlamp and brilliant taillight, which provides a comfortingly bright red light whenever you apply the brakes. It is visually a very beautifully bike. With classic symmetry, form following function. Well balanced. The welding showed perfect craftsmanship. Stunning really, as was the brilliant paint and finish! And, all for an unbelievably low price. What a stunning value in today's market!

The bike came with the seat tore, the wheels are way to small, it doesn't go more than 20 miles on a full charge. The bike all around sucks. When u try to just use peddles it's like your not even moving.

Fortunately for you, if you're wondering if it's worth buying, I'm the only buyer worth asking if you look at the reviews. I'm not in contact with Powben or Amazon or getting paid for this. It's not(i typed not) built to last long enough or safe. The entire pedal fell off. Instructions or pamphlet doesn't explain anything. The front latch comes loose. The washer that holds tension with the latch is all undersized. awkward under-designed screw that's suppose to slide but doesn't, it uses a tiny washer that's suppose to hold tension but would almost break and barely clears the gap. is undersized, it's absolutely below safety standards of common sense and American craftsmanship. The seat pipe latch needs to be over-tightened to not fall down. It really doesn't feel like it was built for daily use and that it cut corners on things that weren't worth the savings. I'd say if you're using the low income financing option and need a job but don't have a car, then yes. you can get by on this thing, only finance for the 30ah. it'll definitively get you between point a to b. be prepared with tools to properly tighten. fully charge the battery before using first time. it's slow up any hill and won't go steep. it's faster than 20 or 23mph downhill and fine on level surface. the smaller tire size is excellent for folding into a mobilized trunk strategy in an underpaid economy but is more dangerous as it;s easier for the front wheel to cut too sharp, you'll feel the need for using both hands at all times. probably buy the non-toxic Gear Hugger brand, dry oil bottle, i did. this bike will get me to higher income than overpriced interest rates to finance a car. if you just work a stationery job, especially if you are young and stuck living with your parents, this bike is perfect at 30ah. I think the bike will last long enough to pay for itself so long as you do work or have a great use for it. also consider how underdeveloped all e-bikes still are in 2024. this bike is excellent for mobility, vacation, the beach, urban, budget, first time e-bike, it'll fulfill a place as it's so transportable. | UPDATE: July 17, 2024: -Anyone looking at direct from China "silverfish" options at low price points beware, I got extremely ripped off and can confirm they're lower quality as well as not totally safe certified. And these K300's from Star Electric bike Shop are hard to find. I would definitely only buy from them at their price for this battery. They're certified safe and as of 2024 the best source for them. Mine's coming brand new from the factory. -The battery stopped working, not clear why, Error 16 on display of another bike, Error codes 06 and 16 indicate that the battery is under-voltage. You need to charge the battery, but I suspect the reason for failure must be from speed unlock or the battery is old stock and does not hold up properly with higher wattage...it won't charge, the battery, K300, is advertised with a 2,000watt compatibility, I was using it with a 1,000watt when it failed. I explained this to the seller and they're replacing the battery anyway. I think the K300 is a bigger size "silverfish" from China, doesn't actually tolerate 2,000 watts unless it does for a day and burns out, might burn out from discharging for too steady at 1,000watts. I'd suggest keeping it paired with the PowBen 400watt. I don't know if the speed unlock at 400 watts will fry it. The primary concern for that is unlocked discharge, which I don't think happens because it should be restricted to 48volts, but cruising steady full speed might just unlock the wattage to peak watts and that might be where the battery quality matters with those higher watt specs. If you don't need a bigger ebike, if this Powben 400watt fold-able is all you're going to be needing and you do long distance, it's worth buying another battery, they're not bad in comparison to the majority of Silverfish, the seller is excellent customer service, and these batteries are being manufactured currently fresh sop they're not old stock. If you remove the removable battery to use as a backup with another bike, just keep in mind that's risky, don't do it with a bike that has peak wattage over 1,000watt. I didn't want to "steal" a free replacement so I made sure to fully clarify what happened. It comes down to the K300 advertised up to 2,000watt.

Great bike especially once you get the acceleration dialed in depending how far you want to travel only down side is uyou must upgrade the seat if you're heavy battery life is surprisingly long and the meter reads what feels like less battery than what you actually have as to give a reserve in a sense highly recommend
