The swing hangers have nylon bushings on the bolt shaft, but there's none where the bolt rubs against the moving piece. The hangers howled like a flock of crows when we used the swing until I greased the bolts. They're quiet now. Also I used a very hard, non-rotting Brazilian Mahogany for my swing frame. It was necessary to predrill the bolt holes, which requires a large, very good 3 1/2" long bit. Even then, I had to a heavy duty ratchet wrench with a 3/4" socket to get drive the bolts in. I will certainly be easier on typical pressure treated lumber, but you'll still need to predrill the holes. The carabiners look like they're make of two different pieces of metal welded together, which makes me question how much weight they will actually hold. Also, because of their design it was difficult to get them open wide enough to hang them on the ring. ... show more
