I had fun testing this little mini-drone once I got it together, but I ran into problems attaching the propeller guards and because of that, it’s taken me a while to get to this review. I wanted to test this mini-drone indoors but I needed the propeller guards to protect walls. The foldable arms are a nice touch and the drone folds up nicely and fits in the cute little case, but not if the propeller guards are attached and so, it is shipped with them in a separate bag. Attaching these was the first order of business. The propeller guards are held in place using small screws and I didn’t expect any difficulties in attaching them. But I could only mount three of the guards. The fourth one was stubborn and I just couldn’t get the screw to thread into the hole. Close examination finally revealed that the receiving screw boss only had a partial hole to accept the screw. I used a pin vise and tiny drill bit to drill the hole out. But it took me a while to dig up a drill bit that was close enough to the correct size. I eventually found a #61 drill bit in amongst my hobby supplies. Having attached all four guards, I charged the batteries and started flying. The drone behaved quite well flying around the room and I felt like I could control it easily, so that’s a plus. It did a good job of maintaining altitude. The “throttle” control (left stick) really acts like an altitude adjustment – you nudge it forward or back to get the mini-drone to your desired height. It takes a significant nudge at first to get the drone to jump off the ground, but then its altitude was stable and easy to nudge a little up or down. It also felt fairly easy to control forward/back left/right and rotation, with just a little drift that I had to use the trim buttons to adjust. But no crashes for my first flight. I got about five to seven minutes of flight time. An extra battery is included and that’s much appreciated. Another build-quality issue is the camera. The camera is pretty cheap looking and it supposed to have adjustable tilt. But it’s little housing popped apart the first time I touched it and the camera was soon hanging by its flex-print circuit connection. It wasn’t too hard to snap it back together but the assembly did not feel at all secure, like it was about to pop apart again at any time. This and the problem with the propeller guard bosses gets a one-star ding from me, so down to four stars so far. The included instruction sheet is quite bad, and thus I ding off another star for that - now down to three. Poor English full of typographic errors, inapplicable safety warnings that make no sense, and just nonsensical incomplete sentences. Too bad because it is a cute little drone and quite amazing in some ways. But I grow tired of poor instructions from such devices from Asian manufacturers. It takes quite a bit of effort to interpret the instructions. That, and the nearly microscopic print makes reading them quite tedious. I’d rather go brush my teeth or take out the trash. OK, but still – you get a pretty amazing value in this thing. So, I want to like it and I pretty much do like it. The “HD camera with FPV” is a pretty awesome feature that I’ve not talked about yet. That’s because I’m hesitant to install another unknown app from some invisible company. The app got some pretty bad reviews on-line, so I’m going to think about this and do some more research before I consider trying this app. I scanned the printed QR code that’s included on a separate sheet to resolve the URL that’s supposed to be a download link to the app. I got a dubious looking link that I didn’t want to enter into my browser. I will say that the drone creates its own WiFi hotspot. I tried connecting to it with my computer and poked around for open ports and such. But I did not find any nor any active video (RTSP) stream. I’m assuming that once the phone app is loaded that the video stream will be activated by the app. But for now, I have a low trust level for such apps. This review is already getting too long, so I defer testing that for another time and will update this review if I make further progress on that front. In any case, it's a fun drone to fly around and I’d give it more stars except for the build quality and poor instructions.

This mini drone is easy to use and packed with fun features. The HD camera captures clear shots, while altitude hold and one-key return make flying stress free for beginners. I especially enjoy the gesture control and path flight features as they make it interactive and exciting. The foldable design and LED lights add portability and flair. A fantastic entry-level drone for kids and new pilots.

Estaba muy emocionado de comenzar a probar este mini drone que incluye una cámara supuestamente HD. Me gustó mucho que trajera su estuche para guardarse, también que incluye 2 baterías, además de 4 hélices de repuesto, también que se pueda doblar los ejes (foldable). Sin embargo, me desilusionó que su conexión con la app para poder usar la cámara se congelara la imagen, no teniendo buena imagen, congelándose en todo momento, y de baja calidad. El control remoto parece completo y trae incluido un accesorio para poder colocar el celular en el control remoto, aunque no me fue práctico por lo mismo que no pude usar la cámara por la mala recepción/transmisión. El manual de instrucciones no fue muy claro en como iniciar el drone, entre otros detalles, además del diseño del manual con letras muy pequeñas, con ilustraciones pobres. El otro inconveniente es que inicialmente parecía el drone ser estable, pero de pronto dejaba de responder y de pronto una de las hélices simplemente se soltó del drone, y el drone, cayendo al suelo. Si bien me pareció una buena idea que trajera los protectores de las hélices, fueron algo engorrosos tanto colocarlos, y si ya están colocados con tornillos es engorroso tener que removerlos nuevamente para poderlo guardar cada vez en el estuche, ya que no se puede guardar con los protectores puestos. El drone parecía algo estable, pero no es así, es errático en ciertos momentos, en responder, y aún cuando le puse baterías completamente cargadas. 2 hélices se estuvieron soltando varias veces, lo cual no me permitió realmente tener 1 sólo vuelo completo que pudiese estar controlando y disfrutándolo. Creo que estuve dedicando más tiempo en el armado, en corregirlo, en resolver los problemas para que volara, o configurarlo. y de grabar con la cámara, de eso ni hablar, ya que no se pudo mediante el uso de la app.

We see this on Amazon and decided to order it for our grandson. He is Generation Z, so it's almost like they have an innate understanding of WiFi and modern technology. I was looking at the directions for over an hour as I wanted to show him anything he had questions about. I also charged the battery a bit to be able to have a full charge when received. Upon opening this Mini Drone, he looked at it and skimmed the instructions for about five to seven minutes. I wanted to tell him to read the instructions more, but my wife explained 'Gen Z' life to me. She was right, again. He had the drone and his phone working in concert in about another five minutes. He attached his phone to the controller, and he was working it like his television games. Each battery lasted a little over ten minutes. Yes, I was impressed. This mini drone is for those individuals that understand the physics of flight...or any 'Gen Z' person. I feel like my wife is always, right?? This is really cool.
