These cross bars are legit. Perfect fit for my 2021 rav4 gas LE. The actual cross bars themselves are made of metal with a high quality finish to them. They are matte black/dark grey in color. They seem sturdy and strong. The anchor points are made of hard plastic, but they fit securely into the vehicle and seem strong enough. It was very straightforward and easy to install. just follow the instructions and it should only take 20-30 mins. It comes with all necessary tools and fasteners. Literally open the box and install with no need for your own tools. The only thing I will state that was somewhat negative was that it comes with some rubber “plugs” but the instructions did not say what they were for. I figured they were obviously for plugging the back side (side that faces towards the vehicle) of the locking hole, but it didn’t say that in the instructions. Just FYI for anyone wondering what those are for

These roof rack cross bars were easy to install except for the fact that you have to adjust the width to make them fit right and the screws to tighten that adjustment are underneath and nearly impossible to tighten without taking the bar back off and then you don't know if the width has slipped. I like the bars. They do fit great once installed and don't cause any excess noise while driving. I did take off one star because of the width adjustment issue, but it should probably be only a half star off. They work great overall.
