Awesome and safe for the coop!
I have 4 of these in my coop here in MI, and with the frigid weather we’ve been having, I’m thankful for these heat emitters. We bought corded hanging sockets for the emitters. They definitely help keep the coop warmer than outside. I feel better that these are safer for the coop as far as a fire danger, and the birds are not bothered by unnatural light. Super easy installation. Just unplug to wipe any dust off if necessary; although mine have stayed very clean. They are small: not much larger than a regular lightbulb, so not a big space hog in the coop.

Brooder
Got this for a brooder, had one in the coop for winter. They seem to work well and keep the birds warm without the bright light of a bulb or risk of shattering. That said I don’t think they are as warm or effective as the lightbulbs are.

I actually buy these for my lizard enclosure. Great quality. They last quite a bit longer than the ones actually advertised for the enclosure.

Not warm
Did not warm past 5 inches. I could lay my hand on the wire cage around the light fixture and it was only mildly subtly warm. Not useful.
