This is a small can, but the chickens LOVE these, and get some extra protein during ‘broody’ times, or whenever you just want to give them a treat. I shake the can and ‘they know’ what’s coming! These are nasty little greasy insects! And oh do they stink! I actually wore a glove to pick them out of the canister. With that said, my chickens love them and that is what matters. They are on the expensive side so this will be more of a weekly treat. Just beware of how nasty they really are!

My chickens love these crickets! I am not sure what I was expecting. But they stink, are soft, and wet. Eww. BUT the chickens give them 5 stars and that's what matters.

Well, the chickens seemed pretty disinterested compared to the live super worms I got them the first time. They did eventually notice the dead crickets, and after a lot of prompting, they did nibble at the dead worms, which were really really tiny. They just seemed to have a really hard time noticing them since they weren't live. I doubt I'll buy this again - I only bought the cans because I was going to the flock owner to buy eggs yesterday, and this was the fastest option compared to driving out of town to TSC for live bugs. ... show more

My chickens love these!! They do really smell bad when you open them and they are “moist” so you will want to just pour them directly from the carton (don’t wanna touch em) lol! But your chickens will go nuts for them!!!
