Great hermit crab sand
Size: 6 LBS
Great sand. Comes moist and is easy to maintain and keep moist. Definitely recommend.

Perfectly blended, premoistened substrate for crabbies.
Size: 6 LBS
This is by far the best premixed crab sand, but keep in mind that by volume 6 lbs of wet sand is not very much. I did not have this in mind and like a dummy, I was surprised, and upset that I spend this amount of money on not enough sand. Just be sure you’re ordering enough. It’s great sand. No problem with the sand at all. The crab likes it. It’s good quality and the right ratio of mix, but 12 lbs was barely enough to fill one half a 10 gallon tank, for a 1.5” crab. TLDR use your thinking skills before ordering, which I failed to do. ... show more

Hermit crabs love it

Used this in my hermit crab tank. They love to dig in it. I needed two of them fill up half the tank.

Perfect for our little guy Sheldon.
Size: 6 LBS
I love this stuff, absolutely wonderful for Hermit crabs. Quite expensive though. Firstly, it does smell like a beach, which I personally don't mind, and you don't notice with the lid on your tank. A 6 pound pack was about halfway enough to be comfortable for a hermit crab, but it was unfortunate we had to buy more, especially because this is only a temporary tank. It's as small as can be comfortable and safe for a hermit crab, until we get into our almost finished new bigger house. No leakage, I've actually bought this before and didn't have that issue then either. Do NOT spill more than a splash from a water bowls amount of water on it though, will mold extremely quickly, and get your crustation buddy sick. It does dry fairly quickly under his heat lamp, and semi quickly under his normal light, which is unfortunate. But, with misting it does return to the perfect consistency quite easily. ... show more

Used for butterfly puddlers.
Size: 6 LBS
Review Image by Jessamynn Jessamynn
I ordered this hermit crab sand not for hermit crabs, but for filling the bottoms of butterfly puddlers I keep in my garden to help the butterflies get the moisture and minerals they need. Since the sand has salt in it already, I felt this would be a good alternative to plain sand. I put the sand in a shallow dish with some shells, stones or marbles for the butterflies to sit on and then fill them with water. Unfortunately, I don't have any pics of the butterflies using the puddlers. ... show more
